Chilly Sunday morning on the eastern seaboard.
Snow flurries in the forecast for later this afternoon.
There are also predicting a 100% chance of a mad rush later this morning to all the local grocery stores for bread, milk, & toilet paper.
There are 620 pounds of sand tubes in the bed of the dually placed strategically over the rear axle.....and I have an unopened case of Coronas in the garage fridge.......I'm ready.
Movement in the galley has started.
I smell fresh coffee and biscuits......YUUUUUUUMY.
Y'all stay safe.

Yeah, baby, good thread!!!
Coffee's kickin, bacon's frying, poured a little bacon grease in the pot, see what that does....)
Be safe up there, Josh. Have fun... Heard from that recruiter yet? (the question is always on my lips...)
Gotta go give the Jr. Marines a haircut. I was thinking about changing my avatar later...

Wow, a new coffee cook - - or whatever you call a coffee maker? Or should I say "coffee chef"? Hey, not bad for a newbie. Now, you obviously do not know the routine - - you make the coffee, you provide the goodies - - - so, where are they?????
Gorgeous day in Florida - - heading for 76, plants growing like mad. Heading for church, then out for some lunch with friends. Nice quiet day after a busy hectic week. Monday I am going out and look for a job - - I am working too hard and never have any spare time.
Have a great one,
TiredBob

"DTR Breakroom" Now why didn't I think of that? After all these years of Shuttlebutt, emporium, fufu, threads a simple DTR Breakroom makes a good start to the day.
8" of snow last night! YAHOO! we are gonna be slippin & slidin all over.

Morning all, everybody's still asleep up here, man am I bored. Got to figure out where the coffee is hid around here. We went to Costco last night and picked up some of their home made muffins. Those things are as big as a softball, blueberry, banana nut and walnut toffee. Yum-yum they look good! I need a good DI up here to get this bunch up and at it!!! Anybody know where I can find one??? Never one around when you need one. I guess I'll have to settle for a metal garbage can and a piece of pipe.

Holy Moley.....
Just got back from making a fuel run to Opal Virginia.
Diesel here.....$2.59
Diesel there....$2.19
Snow is coming down alot harder in that area.
I'll bet I saw 40 drivers who decided to test the crumple zones, or the roof supports on their vehicles on the way back.
The dually skated a couple of times, but nothing careful driving and adequate following distances couldn't overcome.
Back home, walked the dogs, nuked a cup-o-coffee, finished the burger from last night, pop the top on an ice cold Yuengling Black & Tan, and settle down for a nap watching the Barret-Jackson auto auction.
GREAT way to spend an afternoon.

How goes it? I just got back. Almost rolled the jeep down a mountain; twas slippppppery. We got off the trail just in time. Loaded the jeeps on the trailers and ya, they close all the highways out of town so I couldn't get back to Phoenix. So we sat there in the casino for like 4 hours. Fun...People DO NOT KNOW how to drive in the snow here; even in rim country. Sliding all over the place...sheesh. It was fun though. I'll get some pics later.

Fresh pot is cooking, extra scoop or two since I'll be drinking it all night. Had a little freezing rain this AM. Not enough to be a hindrance, but it was COLD.
Got the horses cleaned up and spiffy, just no time to saddle anything.
Have a good one, coffee is ready. (Homemade cookies on the counter for the first few)

MMmmmm, cookies.... Good coffee, too. I like a little extra...(splashing sound) DANG IT!! Just ate a hole in the bottom of my cup!!! That's the third one this month. Anyone got a stainless one?
Back from church, gotta little revival going. (if you can call it that in a southern baptist church...) Bout to skin the mellon, get the uniform ready, and hit the hay. I was suposed to have some deer steak tonight, but someone forgot to take it out of the freezer... Oh well, PB&J sammich sounds ok. Maybe a MRE...
