Thank you Josh. And thanks for giving it the correct name for a change too!

Good to see 5verph00 back in circulation.

Here's your history;

On this day in 1775 - The Continental Army was founded by the Continental Congress for purposes of common defense. This event is considered to be the birth of the United States Army. On June 15, George Washington was appointed commander-in-chief.

1834 - Cyrus Hall McCormick received a patent for his reaping machine.

1846 - A group of U.S. settlers in Sonoma proclaimed the Republic of California.

1917 - General John Pershing arrived in Paris during World War I.

1919 - The first non-stop trans-Atlantic flight began. Captain John Alcot and Lt. Arthur Brown flew from Newfoundland to Ireland. I just HAVE to comment on this... it says "The first NON-STOP trans Atlantic flight". Where would they have had the option to stop???

1932 - U.S. Representative Edward Eslick died on the floor of the House of Representatives while pleading for the passage of the bonus bill.

1940 - The ***** opened their concentration camp at Auschwitz in German-occupied Poland.

1940 - German troops entered Paris. As Paris became occupied loud speakers announced the implementation of a curfew being imposed for 8 p.m.

1943 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that schoolchildren could not be made to salute the U.S. flag if doing so conflicted with their religious beliefs.

1944 - Sixty U.S. B-29 Superfortress' attacked an iron and steel works factory on Honshu Island. It was the first U.S. raid against mainland Japan.

1952 - The Nautilus was dedicated. It was the first nuclear powered submarine.

1954 - U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed an order adding the words "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance.

Gee, sure quiet around here - - except the historian has bloviated. Gorgeous but warm day down here - - ready for the pool and get some sun. Think I will pass on the hot stuff and make some ice tea -- too warm for hot fluids. Don't see anything else around here to eat, so guess I will go raid the fridge.

Not much else happening, so will get out of here. Have a gudurn,

Bob

It is quiet Bob. Nice to see those who are here..well here.

Woke up and put some new shelving up in the garage. Cleaned up a bit, went to the grocery store. Made a fruit salad and some salsa. Just relaxing now.

Tomorrow is my birthday AND my day off - yet for some reason I'm going to work. Go figure.

Oh well. Hope all is well.

Evening folks! Happy birthday early Josh. Wife and I just got back in from Atlanta. Spent the weekend with a buddy and his wife, had a great time. If you ever get the chance, go to Stone Mountain and see the laser light show, It's cool! Had a buffalo burger at Ted's yesterday. I can't really say it was worth $13 but it was OK.

I've had buffalo burgers a few times, I like it. Its a little different than beef from what I can taste but it does have less fat. Elk burgers are pretty good too.

Evening DTR. Had a productive afternoon. Trimmed the trees, tended to the veggies in the garden, and had to fix my passenger side window. Window motor was stuck and wouldn't go up. Got it freed up and now the window works fine. Dinner tonight was turkey burgers and garlic/parsley taters.

Enjoying a few beers now.

Work is good, Josh - - be thankful. They normally give you money when you do that, and that is a good thing. Buys more diesel fuel. LOL

Soooo, happy birthday, man. Hope it is great day for you.

Thank you all very much

Making some pizza for dinner. Not quite homemade, but homemade enough. Took a little nap this afternoon. Going to relax, catch up with some bull riding off of the DVR and drink some beers. Take it easy.

Mornin, mornin...

Mud is on for chascottwa, tea for Matt and Claude, cop bait for Rick, Foo for Fiver, eggs with light wheat toast for Cin, and a protein and creatine shake for me... think I hurt the shoulder tonight, I was doing chest with the machines on hansen, and back to free weights here... ouch. I went from 250 on the flat bench to 210, and 235 on declines to (don't look) 170! Just can't control those free weights like you can a machine with plates on it. And yes, the weight was accurate, they were machines that you put plates on, just like the bar. (for those of you that have ever lifted a weight before)

Anyway... Life is better now. I am glad to be back in Kuni... only a few more weeks. Weather here is a lot better than Hansen, like going from Cuba to NC.

Not too much on the plate. Gonna shower and do some laundry.

Hope everyone has a great Monday. Mine's almost over!

Happy birthdoy Josh! How old? I'm guessing 30 or so?

On this day in 1752 - Benjamin Franklin experimented by flying a kite during a thunderstorm. The result was a little spark that showed the relationship between lightning and electricity.

1775 - George Washington was appointed head of the Continental Army by the Second Continental Congress.

1836 - Arkansas became the 25th U.S. state.

1864 - An order to establish a military burial ground was signed by Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton. The location later became known as Arlington National Cemetery.

1877 - Henry O. Flipper became the first African American to graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

1940 - The French fortress of Verdun was captured by Germans.

1944 - American forces began their successful invasion of Saipan during World War II.
