Mornin' all!
I'm Back at work so maybe things will start working right for me again..... It's been 1 of those weeks.
My computer at home crashed and has taken several days to get back to some sort of operational status. A lot of my back-ups were corruppted as well making life a challange. It's almost off life support but who knows for how long. It's already 7 years old.
Lawn mower was near dead and I attemped to resesitate it. It needed an intak gasket and a couple of intake bolts. I'm surprised that it still ran without them. Fixed the intake and cleaned the carb out. Got about 3/4 of the yard done and it started vibrating and puking oil. And the motor pulled through the already cracked mower deck. Time for a new (to me) mower I guess.
Oh, and the recoil starter for the old Snowmachine still dosen't want to go back together.
On top of that, it's been in the 80s all week and not a breath of fresh air. Even with all the windows open it only cools off in the house to 75* by morning if I'm lucky. And we're surrounded by wildfires. There is so much smoke in town that things are looking fuzzy at about 3 blocks on a good day. The smoke has inflamed my sinuses and made me nausious.
1/2 mile in to my bike ride to work this AM it started drizzling. Not rain just a drizzle to make me miserable and I picked up a slight headwind....and my coffee was weak this AM.
The good news is I'm at work so I'm getting paid to be miserable now....
Enough complaints on my part I think I'll survive...... Here's some fresh coffee.

WHAT????????
YOU DON'T SAY?????????
HORRORS????????? WHAT KIND OF PLACE HAS THIS DETERIORATED TO???

Bob entering break room with mask, gloves, full gown and blowing the place out with critter killing spray - - deep breath - - run - - do the job and get out quick. Jump in shower of jerm killing junk - - strip - - burn costume - - anothe shower - - run around the field naked to dry and inhaling fresh air and blowing more jerm killing junk in air.
Now waiting for air to clear - - Entering break room slowly with monitors to determine the condition of things - - no alarms sounding. Now spraying walls, ceiling, floors and utensils again with jerm killing junk - - run to yard for air to clear. Now too tired and yukked out to re-enter room and try to make coffee - - heading for the hills and fresh air, breezes, birdies singing and fish in the stream. Hey, fish in the stream - - come on Don and Old Goat -- lets try Don's "The Bacon" fly and see what happens. We will not return to the breakroom to cook them - - over open fire right here. Yeh.
Wow, I'm tired now.

Mornin. I'm eating the coffee, it does not seem to be working. Don't know why I'm so tired.
Eric, I don't think that Bob will know what you mean.
Scotty, hope you feel better. I've been taking vitamin C ever since I got here, I ain't been sick with a cold or flu-like illness once.
Last Friday... tick tock goes the clock...
See ya'll. I'm off to work.

Nightshift here. Brought burgers for the grill tonight. Pretty nice out, so I'll leave the dragon out to play awhile.
"Aw heck, if you'd tried everything you say you have, you'd be 138 years old! Actually, come to think of it..."
Good, it's not just me thinking that...
Bob, you probably absorb so much chlorine from that pool, you'd NEVER catch a virus. Chaikwa helping, or not.
Coffee's about done curing.

just saw close to 1/2 dozen juvenile skunks coming out from under the house next door...
I really wish my neighbor would spend less time worrying about how well my sidewalk is edged and more time patching holes under his house...

Bleach is usually a good way to drive things out of tight places. It's soluable so it doesn't hurt the environment long term, but nothing would stick around with the fumes.

Gut a cheap stuffed animal, breed doesn't matter. Place the "skin" over a remote controlled or other type of autonomous battery powered vehicle, preferably one you don't care if you can't recover. Place the skin covered vehicle under your neighbors house tomorrow night and wait........

Hey there, Claude.
You'd drive the skunks out... and attract Cincy!
Morning all. Not a great day yesterday. Smoke machine died right at the beginning of a two hour event. Couldn't get it to work on site, so had to do the whole event w/o smoke. Kinda sux when it's a smoke-LESS trailer.
Once we got home I got it to work by pulling a resistor or diode out of the main power line that feeds the heating coil. I don't know what that thing is or what it does, but I know it wasn't letting power get to the coil.
Here's today's history;
On this day in 1679 - The British crown claimed New Hampshire as a royal colony.
778 - In support of the American Revolution, Louis XVI declared war on England.
1821 - U.S. troops took possession of Florida. The territory was sold by Spain.
1890 - Wyoming became the 44th state to join the United States.
1900 - ‘His Master’s Voice’, was registered with the U.S. Patent Office. The logo of the Victor Recording Company, and later, RCA Victor, shows the dog, Nipper, looking into the horn of a gramophone machine.
1919 - The Treaty of Versailles was hand delivered to the U.S. Senate by President Wilson.
1928 - George Eastman first demonstrated color motion pictures.
1929 - The U.S. government began issuing paper money in the small size.
1940 - The 114-day Battle of Britain began during World War II.
1951 - Armistice talks aimed at ending the Korean conflict began at Kaesong.
1953 - American forces withdraw from Pork Chop Hill in Korea after heavy fighting.
1962 - The Telstar Communications satellite was launched. The satellite relayed TV and telephone signals between Europe and the U.S.
chaikwa.
