Just checking in to insure you folks that the rumors of my demise are unfounded.
Things in here looks to be a bit unsettled, and with that in mind, me thinks that maybe a bit of locking the heels of a few individuals may be warranted. I figured Top might have been able to handle that but I guess not.
Everything's going great. Loving being retired AND not having to work a job. Got plenty to do here with the better half and her projects.
Picked up a new toy this weekend. Remington SPS-V in.308, 6-18 Shepherd range finding scope and it sure shoots good. 1/2" groups at 100 and a hair over 3/4" at 200 with factory ammo. Think I'll keep it.
Like I said, just checking in. Belly isfull of brats, taters, corn on the cob, and bbq beans. Eyelids are getting heavy.

Evening DTR. Stayed busy with chores, yard work, and some good deep cleaning of the shed. Went to the Gf's tonight for dinner and to watch deadliest catch. She made tacos and spanish rice for dinner, good but now I have some heart burn from it.


Shortround, I picked up a Rem 700 SPS in .308 a few months ago. Mine isn't the varmint, just the regular sps, haven't really had much time to shoot it yet. Have it set up right now with a Harris bipod and a sling. I'd like to get a good scope for it sometime soon. From what I have shot with it, seems like a nice gun.

Hey Eric - - ya did good but yesterday was one of those days - - going all day long, PETscan on the heart in the morning and that bums me for a few hours. So, I just goofed off the rest of the day.

Off to get some new carpet for the bedroom - - mama is in that mood that suddenly our very pretty bedroom needs new colors, new curtains, new bedspread, new border - - hope she doesn't look for a new someone to keep her company.
