The DTR banter, coffee, phooo and stale donut room. Nov 21 - 27
Waking up this morning to the smells of fresh coffee, and baking turkey......MMMMMmmmmmmmmm.
Beats the smells we had last evening.
The HVAC guys that installed our GeoThermal system a few weeks ago apparently stepped on the lid of the muck pit in the basement, knocking the seal for the discharge pipe out of place.
Every time the HVAC system came on, the whole house smelled like the inside of a Don's John on a hot August day.
Weird that it didn't smell all the time.
Wifey has complained about it off and on since the install.
Finally got the seal back in place after an hour of fighting with it.
MAN, that seal fits TIGHT..... for good reason I guess.
Today is starting off MUCH more better.
Happy THanksgiving to one and all.

1783 - During the Revolutionary War, the British evacuated New York. New York was their last military position in the U.S.
1850 - Texas relinquished one-third of its territory in exchange for $10 million from the U.S. to pay its public debts and settle border disputes.
1867 - Alfred Nobel patented dynamite.
1884 - J.B. Meyenberg received the patent for evaporated milk.
1947 - Movie studio executives meeting in New York agreed to blacklist the "Hollywood 10," who were cited a day earlier and jailed for contempt of Congress when they failed to cooperate with the House Un-American Activities Committee.
1955 - In the U.S., the Interstate Commerce Commission banned racial segregation on interstate trains and buses.
1957 - U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower suffered a stroke.
1986 - U.S. President Reagan and Attorney Gen. Edwin Meese revealed that profits from secret arms sales to Iran had been diverted to rebels in Nicaragua. National Security Advisor John Poindexter resigned and Oliver North was fired.
1995 - Serbs protested in the streets of the Bosnian capital Sarajevo The protest was against a peace plan.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you tip over a cow does it become ground beef?
Coffee is ready. Tea for Claude, IF he ever shows up. (I think he thinks he's too good for us now) And just for 5verBooby, Turkey flavored ph00!

-37 here with the wind. -7 for tonight. Warms air moving in from the west.
Got another 10-12" pf fresh snow on the ground...more coming in a few days.
HO Ho ho

Bobby it almost sounds like your LEGG has a build up of synovial fluid that is hardening up...makes for a real sore and stiff joint.
Enjoy the day...I am off to work.

Another wish for a wonderful Thanksgiving to the gang. I promised I would not tell you how gorgeous it is down here, so I won't tell you we are heading for 80 and the sun is bright and the ladies (Sand Hill Cranes) are in the back yard looking for left overs and the hawk is in the oak looking for whatever the birds stir up and don't eat and the orchids are blooming and the bouganvillia is gorgeous and the Mexican Poppies are blooming with all kinds of color along the walk to the front door. I promise I will not tell you.

HEY - - HEY - - QUIT THROWING THINGS.
Ok, off to help the blonde get ready for guests - - guess I better shave my whiskers too. Yeh. Have a great one, gang - - we have sooooo much to be thankful for and we need to fight to retain our position.

Happy Turkey day Folks!
Just taking a breather here been trimming hedges and raking leaves getting the place ready for snow. Wife is at work, they called her in about 9 am so I am trying to get a few things done before she gets back and wants me to drag out Christmas Decorations
I would be happy if we celebrated Christmas every 5 years, it has gotten so commercialized I hate dealing with it every year
Hope you have a SAFE day
