I can't. And I DO have the setup and I HAVE tried. Looks like someone blew their nose on a piece of metallic based swiss cheese.
Can't really braze or acetylene weld either. Don't know how and no one ever showed me. And to be honest, I don't know where I'd ever be able to use it.
But I can stick weld! Not gloriously, but I can do it.

Only time Ive ever had to use acety welding was patching up radiators and stuff.
Tsk Tsk Tsk, and you have a welding business with all that equipment, you should be a world class dauber.
Check out this vid. Though it was pretty good.

Nice video Blake!
When it comes to welding I can ARC or MIG. Never TIG welded before. I rarely braze or acetylene weld. I can say that I stick weld the most and enjoy it the most too. I use MIG for some jobs though.

Evenin' All!
Slept through another beautiful day. Clear skies but a bit chilly. Headed down to -20* tonight supposedly. What a way to start Spring Break.....

I like crankin' the 'ol mig welder up to 500 amps and making it go to spray transfer. Cuts right thru 1 1/2" plate if I hold it in one spot for a few seconds!

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
Hey all, just stopped by to say hey, bit under the weather. My oldest son stopped by a while back and was sick. the little buzzard got me sick. Next time I see him I'm gonna kick his little chaikwa.
Thanks matt, should hear tomorrow if It is official, my coordinator had to go to the main corporate office pow-wow to get approval. Crossing my fingers.
Ya'll have a great night, I licked all the coffee cups and sneezed on the counters just to spread the love around!!!
There is fresh coffee though... Don't mind the floaters, they just ad texture.

Reason why I still like HAM is my remote location. When SF got the 1989 earthquake, the HAM's were the only people able to communicate. When Katrina hit New Orleans and wiped out the power, the HAM,s were (once again) the only ones to be able to reliably transmit after the cell towers had gone dead. I like the concept of using a 12 volt battery to talk to people thousands of miles away. Only thing that has held me up is the cost of a good unit (and the time to learn how to operate it).
What doesnt kill us will just make us tougher.
