Didn't say wether you are in the city or not. If your not interested in .22 bird shot or other harmful means, see if you can get a rope on them and tie them to a tree. He might get tired of retrieving them after a couple of times.

I had to deal with some of the local dogs in my area. I got to be friendly with the dogs and then I just tied them up in my yard. After the sixth or seventh visit to retrieve their dogs from my yard, the neighbors finally got the hint and kept control of their dogs. ;D
