Weird that Tony Stewart is now driving a toyota. I bet he would have won the race had he stuck with the Chevy or went to Dodge. I could see that the car slowed him down. Why did he switch to a yota?

Personally from what I saw of the race those Toyota's were fast. Tony and his team mate were plenty quick enough to win and fast enough to make the rumors regarding the post 125 dyno results and Toyota being 30hp over the Chevy's believable. Dale Jr also could have played a huge factor as well...but it's restrictor plate racing, and the fastest cars seldom win...it's the car that has some "help" and if you watch the last lap it's pretty clear why the Dodges won...in the end they had two cars working together...it could have been a totally different story if they hadn't.

Why did Gibbs switch to Toyota? I'd say $$$$ and a very competitive engine program. The new Dodge engine supposedly showing up around May of this season might be interesting to see...brand loyalty and racing should have gone the way of the blue Dot taillights many years ago....take a look at a cup car some day. Then go find something on it you recognize at your local dealer.

yes racing is not what it once was, when you drove your car to the race ,changed the tires and away to the track, till Pontiac was forced out of racing in 63 no one could beat them, watch a old race when a driver came in for a pit stop they handed him a beer and a smoke, the days before overregulation and political corretion.
