Dodge V10
What the previous guys said. I had a 97 2500 Club Cab, great truck. 9-10 mpg around town, best highway ever was 14. Considering the 360 didn't do much better, and the V10 made much more power and torque, I never understood by the V10 wasn't a better seller.
It had very good power, and my 47RE was very reliable (except when the tranny cooler lines burst AFTER the recall to prevent that very thing from happening had already been done).
I did go through coolant. Never could pinpoint the problem, but at 45,000 miles, my radiator was replaced under warranty, with a pinhole leak. Later I found out that through the 98 or 99 model years, there were some defective heads that caused this. Never caused me any performance issues though.
I had Borla headers and exhaust on it. In retrospect, I think the stock exhaust was probably pretty good, because it didn't make too much differnce.
I traded it on my 2001 Powerstroke, but it was a good truck.
Absolutely right. I have only seen one myself, at the Carlisle show last summer. I told the guy to hang onto that truck, as it will be collectable someday, and he knew that the had a pretty rare truck.

They put them in the early 3rd gens and I have only ever seen 1 3rd gen with a v10.
I really loved my 2001 2500 QC 4x4, but the gas was killing me! I really loved watching people's faces when they found out I had 8.0 liters and huge torque! The Dodge V-10 always sounded better to my ear than the Ford V-10 does. Much deeper growl, more aggressive. Lots of power, if you can afford the fuel to get it. Of course, I was just shocked to finally see a gas price under $2 in my area ($1.989) and yet Diesel is stil $2.379!
