Do you scratch off key codes?
Do you scratch off key codes?
I just got a toolbox.. and figures they took the keys out before i got it
.
So i had to order some keys, and while im doing so im wondering.. whats keeping someone that sees your vehicle everyday from writing down that number on the lock and helping themselves in 3-4 days when their set comes in?
Would you suggest maybe writing the code somewhere for you to remember (glovebox, console, underhood) or perhaps on some paperwork inside, and then scratching out the code on the lock?
Im probably going to do this.. just wondering if anyone else has done this or am I the only paranoid one.

You can easily go to Lowes and pick thru thier key lock selections and find just about all the key numbers available. I had an Rv lock that the keys got lost to. Took it to a locksmith shop and in about 3 minutes, he had 6 keys made for it. I wonder what would keep this guy from making a key for anyones house and just going in. Maybe the way he was raised?
