And normally, they won't forget you've done that before. Treat them how you want to be treated.
Ditto. Been a service advisor for many many years. The best way to get something handled is to go in and talk like a normal human being to the manager or service advisor. Let him/her know that the service you had was not up to par and tell him/her what you would like done about it. If they are any type of business that wishes to take care and keep their customer. They should take care of your issue.

If I get some yahoo that demands this and demands that and goes off half cocked with this and that, calls my tech an @%$hole. All this without first bringing it to me personally and does all this in front of my customers.

I fire him!!!! plain and simple. The door swings both ways hombre! If you can't talk sensibly to a business owner, manager etc........good bye! your fired! It is human nature to put up a wall to an @$$hole type customer. Nobody wants to give in to this type of person and the squeeky wheel does not get the grease in my shop.

Now if said customer brought it to my attention without being an @$$hole about the whole thing. I would bend over backwards to take care of him/her and have. I don't care what the business name is. The job you get depends on the technician holding the wrenches. Just like the barber that holds the scissors. They are the one that gets the job done right or wrong.
