I'm glad to see some Dimebag fans on the site. All my friends who listen to Pantera and Damage Plan are stunned at this amazingly senseless brutal lose.

I for one am glad the asshat who did this is dead. I would hate the thought of hearing about this guy on the news 20 years from now. "The turd who shot rocker Dimebag Darrell is up for parole" I hope noone remembers him.

 

Not into heavy metal but it is still sad when someone with such talent is taken out by some jealous, drug crazed lunatic. Glad the perp got shot & saved the tax payers from trying him.

 

is there any info about a funeral? all the rock stations in my area have been playing Pantera and damage plan all day! for a tirbute to Dime! tommorow night there playing a few solid hrs of nothing but Pantera and Damage Plan and interviews of Dime! this will hurt for along time and if Vinnie will never play again on stage we have lost 2 LEGENDS of Metal!! RIP DIME!!!

 

Anybody hear any motives about this? I head that it was some astrological similar date to Lennon's murder, but I don't know where that's coming from. Could look it up, but then I'd have to post it anyways, so I could just ask you to do it for me... Too tired...

I must admit that I didn't recognize his name. I'm not that big of a fan Pantera, but they has some very good benchmark music. Second best band to ever come out of Texas, only after Dusty, Billy and Frank.

Another motive that I read was that the shooter accused Pantera of stealing his lyrics... (and who knows, you read so much when something like this happens, everyone and there brother has theories)
