Cleaned the joint up - - have no idea what the stack of "stuff" is in the corner - - someone come and claim it and get it out of here - - smells bad - - looks like a LEGG is in there too - - YUK.
Fresh coffee, ph00 and Claude's hot water for his tea. Didn't have time to find any goodies - - someone bring some in.
Gone..................

50° and windy this morning, should be in the upper 20°s. I don't think i'm in Alaska anymore.
Happy Sunday morning everyone. As predicted, we are getting a bit of a spanking from Mother Nature. It isn't snowmageddon or anything like that but there are strong winds and lots of blowing and accumulating wet snow. Apparently the roads are a gong show all over central and southern Alberta. Luckily I don't need to go anywhere today. We have all the food etc that we need for weeks, so we will just hunker down and have a snow day.
Our 6 year old pup got to see snow for the first time. He is funnier than a barrel of monkeys.
Have a fun and safe Sunday all y'all.

Woke up to rain at 0600 this morning. Laid there in bed listening to it and woke up again about 1030. Went for a short 2 mile run, showered and had some fajita nachos for lunch. Its been a productive day.

I'm still kicking, not very well, worked near 70 hours the last 2 weeks and 60 the 2 before. Corn is coming off decent though. Still got a couple weeks left and possible rain and 50 degrees tomorrow. Supposed to top 70 today.
Fired up computer for first time since- well, whenever I was here last. Off to get the 4020 and do some brushhogging around the house and get some firewood picked up and cut.
Kid running our old place back east has a ton of go but not the brains to go with it. Well, had. They milk at like 8 or 830, he left the bar Friday night late for chores and didn't make it home. Rolled the truck about a half mile from where he totalled (for the third and final time) the 1/2-ton he had in high school. Dad was up helping take care of the place for the family yesterday. Been telling him on facebook for a couple years life gets a lot easier once you figure out that getting done the quickest isn't always the best, but he'd laugh and say he didn't have time for that.
My uncle says he was drinking but not drunk. Drunk is drunk, whether it shows or not, he was probably more dangerous feeling halfway sober than if he was completely dung-faced.

Good morning gang. Gorgeous morning down this way - - 61 degrees last night - - perfect for my morning ph00 on the lanai with the blonde. Heading for 79 today - - must be fall in Florida.
The blonde is getting her act together for heading back out to Seattle for the one of the two months from hell. November and December are the final purge for granddaughter, then they back off and stabilize in January and, if all goes well, allow them to head back the Whidbey Island FINALLY to settle into their new residence. Wife will be back home in time for Christmas. Little one is right on schedule but the son and DIL are showing the strain. Tough being uprooted suddenly not knowing from day to day what to expect and the worry that something will happen. Boeing has been amazing working with him to allow time off when needed. He puts in plenty of extra time on projects. He is salaried, so that doesn't affect things. Ianna is being quite the courageous little thing - - deliberately tries hard to keep a happy face and talks about her attitude - - asks "am I doing OK - - need to do anything different?" Not bad for a 4yo to understand it all that much.
OK, outside to wrap up fertilizing the plantings. Always something. Have a gudurn.................
