Diesel Prices! Wow!

The cost of diesel, in my area, jumped 80 cents per gallon over three days last week. It is now at $3.45/gal. *** happened to drive up the price?

As far as they're concerned, it's still his fault...

Summertime is coming and they have to start gouging us NOW while we are still holding out some kind of faint hope that we might be able to have a nice vacation this year.

With our dollar at par with the USA dollar and fuel dropped to 92 cents a liter...its cheaper up here. First time in MANY yrs that has happened.

Off topic...as usual. I was pricing a new Buick Enclave for my wife.
Up here they are still close to 20K more then a short drive south across the border. Makes no sense to me. Obama must be at fault...wants us to spend in the USA. For a 20K saving...I can do that.

Speculators,speculators, speculators. The economy may be improving lets raise the price of fuel in case demand goes up!!! Supply and demand means nothing.

I agree,"because they can."

We're on the road to Canadian style taxes it seems unless people make some noise soon. Oil glut+low demand=higher prices. Where's the free market when we need it? Bring on the 275-80-17's. Tall and skinny tires will help some. $3.17 here in San Diego yesterday. Sucks.

Took a 425 mile round trip Sunday. Noted the Diesel prices as I went.
Low= $3.489
High= $4.089 one out of business station still had last summers $4.449 posted.
On my return leg, I noticed most stations had upped their prices 2-10¢ a gallon.

It's because they can, the price of crude hasn't jumped that much.

my first comment....%$^&*#!
Prices jumped up all over Texas at least $.25 to now $3. It has changed significantly last week and over the weekend. I would bet my next tank of fuel that speculators are driving it up again.

I remember Obama, while campaigning, saying $4-$5.00 a gal was about right....we just need to get there slowly!!
And he will, by not letting anyone drill off shore. For verification.... see the biggest liberal in the House of Representatives make a BIG mistake and let the cat out of the bag.....
