THe demand for heating oil should be going down so I expected the price to drop a little!
We had a refinery explosion out her a couple of weeks ago and I assumed they were raising the price to cover the fines they are gonna get and the lawsuits from the 5 dead workers families.
It has jumped to $3.45 here in the last three days. Glad I filled up at 2.99 last Wednesday!

I seen it as high as $3.20 a gallon on my trip to New Orleans, $2.89 here right now. Running the black diesel again. I decided to drive the cobalt and got 35.3mpg (75-80mph) so I saved a ton verses driving the truck.

Unbelievable... I noticed a fuel price dropped from $2.99 to $2.85. Thought this never happened! I did notice my mileage has gone up 2-3mpg. I can't figure out if this is from the summer blend being mixed into Tx or my driving? I actually drove faster w/RPMs @ 1700-1800 vs. 1500-1600, Adr on PL02 and have been getting better mpg. I also towed a 2k trailer. Any thoughts?

No winter blend sold in Texas....that I know of??
Maybe big truck stops....but none I ever heard of. You?
I buy at Wal-Mart and know they don't sell #1 Diesel in the winter till you get north of the OK/KS border!

We've been $2.86, in OK, for weeks..... maybe that will drop now?

Southern tip of ILL went from $2.87 to $3.17 over night, every thing i drive is diesel, but the jetta gets 48.9 any day, truck gets 17.8 in mixed driving, i try to keep my truck driving down to 1 to 1.5 tanks a month.

Last time I looked diesel was $3.05 a gallon here in Indy.
My truck will probably be a lawn ornament till I can afford to drive it again since I have been unemployed for a year & my motorcycle gets 50 MPG versus 16 for the truck.

Diesel prices dropped slightly here in Minneapolis while gasoline is up to $2.85. Diesel is at $3.07 and was as high as $3.19 recently. People are saying that speculators are driving up prices because speculators believe the economy is growing again.

The speculators don't understand that if fuel prices get to $4 to $5 a gallon again that the economy will stall again. A lot of people hunker down at home and don't spend money (except on fuel) when fuel prices get that high.
