I saw $3.67 for diesel this morning. Then I noticed the news van in the driveway. It reminded me of a news story I caught bits and pieces of while getting ready for work. Turns out, it's a brand new station and the owner dropped his prices way low to attract business and introduce his station to the neighborhood. I hadn't been watching prices for a while so for a fleeting moment I thought diesel had finally come down to close to where it should be. Add insult to injury, I had just filled up so I couldn't even take advantage of his introductory prices!

Our price came down to 4.91 here at the flying j... most places are still 5.28... and we're an oil exporting nation... this and the liberal leader here wants to put another "carbon tax" on fuel to be more green...

nice, real nice...

Same station (Eldrige and Hwy 529) had it for $3.97 this morning. I hope that is going to be his going rate for a while.
