Diesel Mechanic
Diesel Mechanic
I am looking into finding a carrear, or at least a job that pays enough for me to afford my toys (truck, motorcycle, track time, racing). Since I really enjoy working on my own vehicles and have always done all but the most complex stuffy myself with out any training, just reading a service manual and lots of swearing, I figured getting a certificate or something in mechanics and then specializing in diesel and perhaps motorcycles would be good.
Where would be a good place to go for information on that field. I tried google and its not being my friend today. Just about every link I click wants me to hand out my info to get a something in the mail. Anyone here know of a good school to get the formal education? Preferably somewhere close (ready 200-300 miles) to the DC area?

Not sure how apprenticeship work where you are from but, if it wee me, Id look into finding a company that is looking for an apprentice...that way you may be able to work and get paid rather than going to school for 1 or 2 years and not getting paid.
Be prepared to invest in some EXPENSIVE tools...
