Maybe the kids learned their behavior by watching Sprewell choke his coach and getting away with it.

 

Agreed.
Most kids deal with stress and anger the same way they see young adults and their parent's do it.
Violence and getting high. Pretty simple you see, When was growing up there were two trailer parks that some kids fro the school lived in. You would swear that fighting was a sanctioned SPORT in there. I guess it's the redneck equivalent of the projects. This is not meant to be hurtful or degrading, just my observation. When you have kids in poverty and below poverty conditions, add in the fact that they see drugs, alcohol and violence as the way grown ups around them deal with daily problems, what do you expect??
Another thing I think we need (as a society) is EXAMPLES! Not just positive examples, I mean like take these kids and publicly humiliate them, bare rear end beatings, then run the video over and over again on closed circuit TV inside the school for the rest of the students to see what happens to kids who think it's even remotely acceptable to even lay a finger on a teacher.

I blame the parents, and the whaco school system. I bet 5 out of the six parents already have excuses why it wasn't thier kids fault.

 

Man in my highschool there was a different fight everday between students, teachers, even the principle...........my school was kinda violent. My football coach beat the holy snot out of my history teacher in front of our weight room one day. Messed him up bad, so needless to say he wasn't the football coach anymore.

My english teacher, Mrs. Cline ( F'ing ***** ) got head slammed into a locker about 50 times by Pam Paulson right outside of the classroom DURING class. Ended up cutting the crap out of her face and ended up getting stiches in her forehead because of it.

Then my principle Mr. Lamarand ( good ol' cowboy type ) got in a fight with Matt Williams' dad because his dad was accusing Mr. Lamarand of disciplining his kid to much because he was a skater punk.............uhhhh ok? So anywhooo, he got in the principles face took a swing and Lamarand layed him out!! It was great, I saw the whole thing

Schools anymore are a JOKE unless they are prep schools or expensive private schools. But still I have heard some stories about stuff that goes on there.............
