Dewalt Portable Air Compressor?

I've been trying to find a decent portable air compressor for awhile. I've been looking at the Dewalt 200 psi 15 gallon portable. I figure that should work for me. I'm mostly using it for nail guns, a Snap On impact, and other small air tools. Does anyone have one of these? or can recommend a better portable?

This is the compressor I'm looking at now.

Air nailer, impact, die grinders, cut off tools, sanders. Most of it will be around the house.

I would say its big enough, if not bigger than you need, but if it fits in the garage and the budget, it will do the job. impact guns and other truck tools will work off it as well. I usually see contractors with 2.5 to 5 gallon max setups with three guys using airlines for nailguns, no problem.

I'm pretty sure anything with more than 5 cfm @ 90psi should work. I just want to make sure the Dewalt will work when needed. I was going to get a Craftsman 33 gal. but I've read a lot of bad reviews about reliability.

I have a Dewalt compressor that's a lot smaller, tank-wise at least, than the one you're looking at, but I bet they have the same pump and motor. It won't even begin to keep up with an air ratchet, die grinder, DA sander or an impact wrench, but it does ok with an HVLP spray gun and an air nailer. Emglow made mine and it's been a good unit for the size. It runs and runs and runs but it hasn't died yet!

CFM is the key to running big air tools. The big compressor in the shop back east is a 19.5 CFM @ 120 psi unit and it will just about keep up with a die grinder running for a prolonged period.

I think if you'll be running your grinder or sander for any amount of time, you'll be a bit disappointed.
