Dewalt 14.4 volt batteries

I have a couple of Dewalt 14.4 volt battries that no longer hold their charge very long and sometimes do not want to charge. Is their anything that can be done to renew them or is their anyone who rebuilds the batteries. New ones are $75. I only use them in my drill which is 12 years old. It would be cheaper to but a new drill than to buy new batteries but I really like the drill. It's broke in.

Go to E-Bay, you can get them much cheaper. I got mine there and am very happy with them. Don't throw them away, they are hazardous waste.

there are listings on ebay to rebuild batteries for about $35. If you watch you can usually get yellow top batteries for less than $50.

Good luck

it ticks me off to no end to see them selling 2 batteries for $85 or more when you can buy a new drill, case, charger and 2 batteries for $119.00

you mean the case, charger and drill are only worth $35????

oh yea, and printer ink costs you $70 when you can buy a new printer with ink for $100. so the printer itself is only worth $30????

It's all a planned setup to take advantage of the consumer.

Everything is built to throw away anymore.Repairing power tools is often as costly as replacing them.I face the same problem with my 10 yr old 18V Milwalkee cordless, its 18V batterys are 79 a piece, and the whole thing can be bought for 200
