I would have done a cut and paste of the contents.... Until I got down to the copyright terms
Most of what is said, I would agree with, although I have no experiance with "podcasts"

It's been pretty awful recently. The article doesn't mention satellite radio as another killer, but I'm sure that isn't helping matters for commercial radio.
Commercial radio has too many commercials and not enough music. I like the one classic rock station I get, but they do have 1 minute of commercials for every 2 minutes of music and they have Mark and Brian on every morning, then every other evening they either play interviews, live shows or obscure albums. I wish they would just stick to the music.
Arrow 93.1 used to just stick to the music, until they got bought out by Jack FM, which seriously sucks.
Anymore I just burn whatever music I want onto MP3-filled CD-Roms, and wish I had satellite radio when those get old.

i think it will take a long time for fm to go away, I have satalite radio and a cd player in my truck but i still listen to the couple classic rock stations in my area. Plus you can't get Bob and Tom on satalite or at least i don't think you can.

I caved, and bought an XM satellite radio, I couldn't stand listening to the constant jabber about nothing all the time. And when they got rid of the country stations in my area, I was done. I spend a lot of time in my truck, and also with traveling through different areas, it got very wearing losing signals. I wont go back to FM, in my mind its just like cable tv, sure I can get some channels with the ole' rabbit ears, but you gotta pay a li'l to watch what you actually want to.

The radio in college station isn't that bad. They play a lot of music and for the most part it's decent. Houston has the absolute worst radio I've ever heard. I had xm and it was alright. I've got sirius now and I love it. Absolutely love it. Between itunes, mp3's, and satellite radio, I hardly listen to the radio. Only time I do as a matter of fact is because I like the Roger and Roy show in the morning.

Eh, my brother bought a Charger about a year ago, came with the free Sirius for a year, I was far from impressed, even the Outlaw, Roadhouse, Bluegrass, Classic Country stations couldn't keep my attention. I don't really know why, I just don't care for it.
When I'm in Raleigh, it's all CDs because country stations up here are nothing but "new" country (read- the exact same thing as pop, just with an acustic guitar) but when I get home and I can pick up stations that play GOOD music, it's all FM (plus they have Paul Harvey)

Went with Sirius the day after the only rock station in Dallas changed format and called itself something like Jamz. Since I'm not rollin' on dubs nor do I refer to my guns as "gats", I turned them off forever. Not my style of "music". I can't believe that a market as large as the Dallas/Fort Worth one couldn't support even one rock station. I rank satellite radio as the best thing to happen to vehicles since the demise of hand crank ignition.

It does mention Sat. radio but only briefly. I think it will be more of a killer of AM/FM radio than pod cast's. I only listen to the fm radio on weekdays for the morning show, and I am even losing interest in that. I have 4 different forms of Siruis Sat. radio. My new truck came with it, I have had a sporster replay for a year now, it is on my Dish network, and I am listening to Bubba right now on my computer. I have never even heard a pod cast, as I am sure a lot of other are the same.
