Darwin Canidate

During our trip to the outer banks last week we ran across a couple of guys that thought thier BMW M3 could go on the beach. I guess they missed the many signs that read four wheel drive or ATV access only! They made it about 30 feet until they were sitting on their floor boards. Just thought I would share.

not exactly a darwin candidate. Now if he would have been out there jumping dunes in the bmw, that might warrant a candidacy.

Just someone with more money than brains that is going to get a nice tow bill that is well deserved.

hahaha that reminds me of a few years ago at Pismo beach. There was a carload of college students stuck on the dunes with a bmw. They asked me for help so I handed him the end of a tow strap and told him to dig under and find something strong to hook to. I hooked the other side up to my series 3 land rover. I even verified with the guy and asked if he found a good spot to hook the tow strap. He said that there was a recovery loop under the chassis that he hooked the strap to. Ok cool so I start pulling him out and about half of the front of his car came off and I heard a massive hissing air leak. So I get out and look to see what the hell he hooked the strap to........ yep the air conditioning tubing.

That last one right there reminded me of my days in college. Whenever somebody did something really stupid we'd call them a liberal arts major...

Was he stuck below the high tide line? That's always fun here on the Gulf Coast - sitting on the beach watching 'em try to dig it out before the tide comes in.
