Can someone more smarter than my ignert butt tell me why diesel costs more than premium gas right now??? Holy Cow, I spent $4.25 per gallon today and that was cheap compared to other places in town. I thought diesel fuel was easier and cheaper to produce compared to gasoline? I know this has most likely been asked before and I apologize but......DANG

Winter is coming and heating oil demand will cut into diesel availability.

Ours has dropped to 3.79 I noticed today. Which is just wonderful, as I filled up at 4.05 Tuesday.

Diesel is generally used by the working man in everything from semis to our Cummins.. Get the drift?

 

Plus they are shipping much of our diesel out of the country at a higher price!

I don't know, what I do know is I'm feeling less refined every time I fill up

 

Diesel comes off the stack earlier in the refining process, but after getting de-sulfured, it adds a few steps...
