Actually, I was raised in a law enforcement enviroment. I have know City Officers, DEA Agents, Border Patrol Agents, FBI Agents, Federal Marshals,Judges ,and while most are honest, there are a few that are not. I did not mean to imply that all Police Officers lie. I'm just saying that the general population can be just as honest as the Police community. I get a bit annoyed when it is inferred that the general population is the only one that lies. I have never been arrested or had any major trouble with the law......I have been lied about by a Policeman trying to justify a ticket. Interesting how my Dad sped every time he drove his car. However, out of all the times he was pulled over he never received a citation......all the Cops new him.....honest? I think not. Human.....yes.

I'm hoping your problem is just with authority, that or you were completely beaten down in civil court.
Dang near every moment of my working life is recorded by video, gps, cad history, deposition or public record. I'll trade skeletons in the closet with whoever I stop anyday.

That is just sad. You are a POS who has an axe to grind because of something in your past. Police aren't perfect. But you are something much worse.

I just noticed where he was from; 'eastern Massachusetts'. You wouldn't believe the amount of people in that neck of the woods that have similar attitudes as his. Not just with authority figures, but with EVERYTHING! It's one of the reasons I moved to Michigan actually. Not justifying him, just explaining.
You're right, you DON'T usually speak that way. I was kind of surprised you did actually, being our beloved Chaplain and all.

I have to agree with Ramlovingvet on that one. If this dude would be sick enough to let an officer die on the side of the road without doing anything, then flame away as far as I'm concerned. Pretty disgusting if you ask me.

Yes, you are wrong. Half of the complaints an officer gets are a lie. At LEAST that. Angry citizens call in and lie, right to a Sgt. and say something that isn't true. It's investigated, written down and goes into my file forever, whether I did what that person said or not. Video has proven them to be liars, but it doesn't matter. It's still there. The only way that complaints would matter is if they are legit. The majority are NOT legit because whiners can't seem to take responsibility for their own actions, so they go after an officer in the worst way they can find.
That's your job and you are employed by the same people you are sworn to protect, unfortunately you are under our scrutiny as well. with the amount of authority that you as a LEO hold I would think that is a small price to pay.
For example, A police officer in the next town (from where I live)was just convicted of befriending a minor and molesting him (over the period of a year). In addition to the countless files of child **** found on his PC. I am glad that someone listened to the child's parents whining!
Be proud, not angry and realize that our kids watching what you do and how you handle conflict as an officer,and they are very impressionable.
Again I have but the ut most respect for all Police officers and I realize that they have one of the toughest jobs in our world today. That's why it takes an exceptional person to do it.
