He enlisted to protect his family, friends and those who call themselves Americans from anyone who would threaten our safety and freedom.
Good or bad, right or wrong, left or right, these men and women are there because of us. If you cannot respect that enough to look past the political crap and to stand up and say thank you, you have some real problems.
Very well said, that is the way a lot of military families feel. My husband had already been in the navy for about 6 1/2 years when we met, so I had to really consider what I was getting myself into when he proposed. He knows that I support him no matter what he does.

You have a lot of courage cowgirl! Where would our fighting men and women be without the undying support of their families. Takes a lot to be a military wife and mother, I applaud you!
Our prayers are with you and yours.

It is to late to stop now, we are there we have a job to do and the entire country needs to back our troop period.and stop the BS about how this is GWs war. are you people (opposed to the war) so lame ...do you not remember 9-11? this did not have to be, Bill clinton(the biggest POS) to walk the planet knew way before 9-11 that bin laden was going to hit the USA and did NOTHING. its about time we had a man in the white house with guts to do the right thing. you people would rather have us just turn and run. thank GOD you were not around during WWII or we would be speaking German or japanees now. the men & women over there need 100% of this country backing what there doing! and I for one am proud of them .I just Pray that the liberal trash U.S. haters dont tie there hands and make this terrorist war politicaly correct. WE DID NOT START THIS , and if we dont do some thing now 9-11 will be small in compairason!

How right you are. That doesn't pose a question to you? Iraq didn't attack us. Iraqis didn't attack us. They were more westernized than most middle east countries in that region. Osama and Saddam weren't buddies. They both hated America is not a conspiracy. It is only a common hate for us. They also hated each other. If anything, it appears as if Iraq will be taking a big step backward as thier new government leans more and more toward religious rule.
We found Saddam wth his new underwear in a basement under a rug in a house out in the middle of nowhere yet Osama (the guy who orchestrated the attack on us) seems to slip away into the hills. I still believe there's more to that than he simply plays good hide and seek.
I'm not sure if W is more like Yosemite Sam or Dale Gribble but, it's not working. They hate us now more than before and they're not afraid of us nor do they respect us. I have no doubt they're orchestrating their next attack as we parade around smuggly with our flags and "support our troops" magnets on our vehicles. We will be blindsided again.
But that's just my opinion...
Well, you know what they say about opinions.

Yeah, that was a big mistake. Hope we don't make it again.

Reabl, what did 9/11 have to do with Iraq? I've heard this before and no one has ever shown me hard facts of a connection?

Just hold on there partner. Nobody in this thread or on this board for that matter has expressed anything but support for the troops. May god bless each and every one of them, those who served, those who serve, and thos who will. may hHe also bring tham ALL back safe. But tha is not what this thread is about. It is about the protesters in Craford, and not much support was expressed to that either, other than recognition of their right to do so. Now for the issue of the war itself, its been argued every which way by now, and I yet have to find one person that has changed his/her mind on the issue. You being passionate on the issue is just fine but name calling those that do not see it your way is hardly constructive especialy when you offer no facts to support your position.

I have changed my mind, I used to be a big suporter of the war in Iraq, but after awhile I started to think about it for myself and decided to form my own opinion unstead of taking Limbough and Hannity's word/propaganda on everything. I wish some of my fellow republicans could do the same instead of always riding the G.O.P. bandwagon on every issue. I am and will continue to be a republican but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything Bush says and denounce every word that comes out of a democrat's mouth. I have disagreed with a lot of republicans and have agreed with some democrats, not often, but sometimes, but I don't think we should call them "Liberal trash U.S. hater's". I just want people to speak their mind and form their own opinions instead of the one's that the republican or democratic propagandists give them. And last but not least I support the troops 100%, I just don't support politicians with alterior motives when it involves risking our young Americans lives and forcing our way of life on people who will never conform to it. And anyone who thinks politicians are out to help you and I need to go out and get involved in a campaign and get an inside look. I did, at a very high level of statewide politics, and I'll tell you one thing I learned. Politicians are mainly out for the people who paid to get them there. I've seen people who gave $2000 to a campaign get more help later from the politicain than I did giving $1000, I've been tosed aside after giving a couple grand for someone who gave more than I did, I've seen the inner workings and it makes me madder than hell to see what our great country's political system has come to. I'm done ranting, you guys don't want to hear it anyhow.

Good for you, it IS a free country after all. But you did not change your mind as a result of being labeled something, but on the facts you cared to find. My point was the counterproductivity of labeling those who do not share ones point of view.

I agree, I think some people are just looking to belong to something, so they figure they can get there by listening to the head of the propaganda spewer's and repeat it(whichever party).
