When the weapons (over 98% were accounted for piece by piece with serial numbers) didn't show up, alluva sudden it's a humanitarian effort to democratize a people who hate us and don't want us meddling in their affairs. The reason so many hate us over there to begin with. Now the new constitution is about to set women back to square one over there and the religious nut cases are a ticking time bomb. Yes Saddam applauded when the Saudi's who trained under Osama in Afghanistan and Venice Florida attacked us using our own resources as weapons not requiring money from any foreign country. They all applauded. They hate us. Even the ones who put on a friendly face. I'm all in favor of finding and killing Osama. Saddam had Iraq under control. Now it's out of control. I was never and I'm still not in favor of us invading Iraq. Putting our soldiers in that bloodbath over there as sitting ducks is not supporting our troops. Especially when Osama could very easily be living here in the states right under our noses.

I realize that we are not the only Americans that have a say in what our military does for the country, but it should be heavily considered.

As for President Bush saying the mission was accomplished...it was. The mission was ousting Hussein.
Sure hope the Chineese don't decide we would be better off without King George and invade us to protect us from what they might consider an "evil" tyrant, or to rid us of weapons of mass destruction

I thought I was being agreeable
Heck even Hoss said he agreed with me.

Yeah... I don't agree with the war in Iraq. Never have. But no amount of me talking about it is going to change anything or anyones opinions about it so I just leave it alone.
Take care.

I just didnt want you thinking i was jumping down your throat...
I remember as a young adult AKA Teen ( I started serving this country at 17) no one wanted to hear my opinion. It really sucked.
Has my opinion changed in my life span? Sure it has but I still had a right to an opinion.
I applaud Iker and other youngins for caring enough to think and challenge thoughts.
Maybe that's why I lead our Youth Group... AKA Christian Conservative voters of tomorrow..

I was watching the news this morning, and evidently because of this lady in Texas there were many candlelight vigils last nite is support of her. Many of these people at these vigils are against the war in Iraq. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it seems to me that many of these people think their opinion is the only right one.
These men and women that are over there choose to go into whatever branch they are in. Some may say that I'm bias cause my husband is navy, but before we ever met I've supported the military. In this war alone, I know about 6 people that have been over there protecting those who can't protect themselves.

I've learned more in the last year since ny husband and I first met. It's hard to know that your loved one is over there and you don't know what's happening. He feels bad that he can't tell me much and can't communicate with me a lot. I get one or two emails a week and a phone call every couple weeks. It's a lot to go thru.
