"The Cooler" April 17th - 23rd

Up-N-Attem.

I had to make the breakfast this AM as Wifey ain't feelin' too great.
I think it was fit for human consumption as the dog ain't twichin' too bad yet.

Beeeeeeautiful morning with sunshine and temps heading for the 60s.

Gotta make a fuel run.
Increased the capacity of my Poor-Man's Aux fuel tank by 50%.
(Bought two more 5 gallon diesel fuel cans)

Y'all B safe

Taking it easy today, the 80 hour crap starts next Sunday so just going to chill today. May wash the Jeep after it warms up a bit.

Ahhhhh some sunshine !!!

This place finally warmed up enough to leave the coat in the room. Now I wish I had something to do. Since B.E.R.T. is at home ... I got nothing to do. Sure missin the diesel fumes.

Hope you all get your chores done and get out and enjoy the day.

Cheers,
PISTOL

Back off the ranges. All rounds landed in the impact area and there were no red marks in anyones health record. Did have to keep calling "check fire" due to geese down range.
This was a brand new unit. It came on line around the first of the year. Green is an understatement. They kinda made me feel old when I discovered I entered active service before ANY of them were born. They were good, or at least giving 150% to try and be. They got lots to learn but they listen well and actually appear to retain. It makes this old grunt kinda misty eyed to be able to work with kids like these. I'm not even going to complain about the mother of all sunburns I presently have.
Time for me and Clifford to cool off a bit. Clifford ran 195 miles in two hours and twenty minutes and I ain't had a beer since Friday night.

A gorgeous sunny and delightful Sunday from Florida. Wow, it's pretty here. Makes me wonder why I want to leave - - then suddenly I remember July and August - - it is not going to be like this here about then. Yep, I guess I will still get out of here. Sure nice though.

You hear that, PW - - sure nice down here.

Another Monday in DC.
It would be a much better day if I wasn't sitting at my desk at work.

G-G in the lot.
Warming up enough that Long Johns are no longer necessary in the morning.

Didja hear about the Cruise ship hit by high seas in the news?
They reported 70 foot waves that crashed through the balcony windows on the 10th floor decks.
And the Wash. Post reports this morning that the ship management decided that drinks would be free on board until the storm subsided........ .

Sure purdy down here again today - - cool night (50) and warm day (75) and very dry. Couldn't ask for nicer weather other than having to run the pool heater is starting to hurt.

That wave was unbelievable, SH. Man, glad I wasn't on board that one. Too many things happening on those dumb cruise ships lately. Scary.

Busy packing up the fiver. Won't be long and we are gone.

Turkey hunting season opened today, of course i'm at work. But, hey. I got a yob.

Passed the truck stop, diesel $2.06 a gallon. Being the barrel of oil is $50.22 a barrel, MAYBE we might see diesel for under $2? I won't hold my breath.

Happy monday, could be worst, you could be in jail.

Back at it. Suppose to break 80 today. Really worried about fires up here. They were working on a big one (I know nothing like out west ) this weekend, with evacuations. It was about 2 counties over. At least 1500 acres as of yesterday, but had it under control. Was out watering my trees last night and all of a sudden Kaley perked up and started a stalking, point. Then she bolted. I was expecting to see a deer, but a woodcock went up infront of her. I went to refill the bucket and saw thing circle back and land in the same spot. Then another flew in. I made her stay by me and the birds could care less. About 4-5 were strutting around talking to each other. Could here them going well after dark. Lots of grouse been drumming too. Oh yeah, got skunked on the river yesterday.
