"Catapult Ready Sir" Hey FiverBob,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, DUCK!
I'm glad we didn't get much down here. A little ice and snow mix,,, but the roads are in good shape. It is windy!,,,,,,, NO reason to go outside anyway.

Have a good one.

Last week it was -40, today it's supposed to be +60
Think I'll throw on some shorts and a t shirt and give the truck a good scrub.

Howdy all,
Cold and windy here again too. Stayed in bed extra long today just to stay warm. Glad I took Friday off when it was in the 70's to do most of the install of my fuse block and driving lights. Pulled the front end in yesterday to finish up, it was about 32* and super windy. Job took longer than expected, but I am pleased with the results. Now I just have to resist the urge to flash the "occassional" idiot in DFW that cuts me off.
Checked in here at about 8:00 am CST and was shocked to see no cooler thread. Then I figured somebody on the right coast started it earlier, but the servers were so frozen, it just took some time to get here

Wind blowing 35-40 yesterday. Temp in the 50's. Wind dropped along with the temp. 11ish this morning, 34 right now and the temps will go up all week.
Worked in the old house place and was able to get the temp up around 30 using the kerosene heater. Hopefully will have the wood stove in place this week. The beast puts out around 200,000 btu so maybe I can get it tastefully toasty in there. Still got lots of cleaning to get done before the mill goes in.
Don't know if I'll be able to handle a 5 day week. May have to ease back into the work mode. Wouldn't want to strain the eye or anything of that nature. I think I could enjoy the retirement scene.
Need to get back after it while there is a bit of daylight left.

Blizzard of 05

Well, we got hit here in north central MA, but not as bad as the folks on Cape Cod who usually get an inch or two, or often rain, when we get nailed. Alot of wind made for some interesting drifts and snow patterns on the roofs in our neighborhood. Two cups of java, the Mrs. french toast then out to fire up the machine.

Only about 6" near the carport, but the end of the driveway's amount went over the top of the snowblower, thanks to the wind and of course, the plows. The city contracts out my neighborhood so the 3/4 ton pickups only like to take two passes, as they have no interest in damaging thier own equipment. This leaves 4-6 ft beyond the driveway that I have to do. Yea, it's a little more work, but I don't have to worry about replacing my mailbox every storm, or any of my lawn in the spring....which seems like an eternity away now when it's in the teens. 32 degree's also seems like an eternity away.

The Boston stations say my area had 1.5-2 ft, but it didn't seem more than a foot and it was the light fluffy stuff the snowblower loves. Some parts of the Cape are getting close to 3 feet. If I go outside now, I can almost hear Fiverbob laughing in the distance.

Cold in the DC area today.
Snow storm has moved North.

MONDAY

Lots of morons runing into guardrails and each other as they try to run @ their usual 60+ MPH on the roads.

& sweet rolls. yummy
Space heater is trying, but not succeeding to knock the chill out of the air in the office.

Maybe one of DieselDude4X4's patented "Hot reBoot"s on the computer would help.

Y'all B safe

Rained all day Satruday.

Mornin Folks,
Tad bit on the chilly side,,,,,,,,,, at least it looks that way from inside the house. I don't have to go out until I leave for work at 2300 tonight. Starting the dreaded Graveyard shift for the week,,,,, but at least I have a job.

When is summer suppose to get here?

Have a good one and don't bother locking your offices when ya leave this afternoon,,,,,,,, I'll be making a supply run tonight and I'll lock them when I'm done!

WEll the week is off to a great start here! Temps getting up near 55 today and near 60 the rest of the week. Got my first horse of the season in, so I guess i am going to have to quit hanging around online and get to work. Got in a 4 yr old mustang, never been handled. ..... The BLM puts a halter on 'em at the adoptions, but these kind folks thought it would be better to take it off
Spent the last 3 hours just getting her to let me touch her.... gonna be an interesting job...
My condolances to all y'all out there in NE......but at least ya get a day off out of it....
