Happy Monday

... so, Bill Clinton came down here to Key West for a visit over the weekend ... I hear he got a good deal on a box of Cuban cigars . What a loser

Temps dropped over 30* over the weekend ... I woke up this morning to 50* and decided that I liked being in bed better than going to work.

I feel for you folks up in the places where the white stuff falls from the sky.

Cheers,
PISTOL

Ohhhh boyyyy what a day.......

Power went out about 2 am, got up feeding the fireplace about an hour later. All electric heat and with it being in the low teens outside I was hoping to keep things from freezing in this tri level home. Black Lab claimed the spot right in front of the fireplace and I was only allowed to enter said area if I was carrying more firewood

Went out and knelt in about a foot of snow in that cold wind for a couple of hours, trying to get the Onan generator to fire.... no such luck.....

Went to Sams around 9 am and bought a new generator, brought it home and fired it up. Got a couple of baseboard heaters going and the fridge. Between the fireplace and the heaters it hit a low of about 43 degrees in the house I was getting ready to fire off the furnace in the camper and move in.

Power back on now and temps are getting close to 65 inside . Ok I am ready to set the electric blanket on ROAST and get under it for about 10 hours..... Thanks for the lousy day, it did remind me how fortunate I am when the Wife and kids are all healthy and happy.

Left work at 1530 hours.........got almost all the way home before cellphone rang.
Back through (then) rush hour traffic.
Testing trouble for 1 1/2 hours before being on hold for 1 1/2 hours for Technical "Service" Tester to pick up.
Now waiting for another techie to be contacted, drive to work, drive to base, and work with the Techincal "Service" tester (I'm sure after another time in ON HOLD pergatory listening to computer generated "Jazz" music).

Thank Goodness I'm on OT.
But I'd rather be home with my feet up.

Oh,.....and the heat's working.........
Glad you're back on line Top.

That's just cruel man. Funny, but cruel.
I got the coffee out this way for ya Ed. (I also have a "special" cup just for Dennis, if ya want me to give it to him).

Uhgg, late on here this morning. Think cable modem is going south. Was on the help desk chat line. Up now, got coffee . So far no jobs for today in my job jar at work.
Not retired yet, will find the last day of work in 2 weeks.
Now to fix breakfast. Sausage, egg, fried potatoes and a slice of tomato.
About 50 degrees for today.

Wow, did you see the ice-encrusted houses along the shore in Maine? Talk about being in a deep freeze - - I will quite griping about 34 two nights ago. Going to high 60's today, 70's tomorrow. YEH.

Trim hedges, more mulch going down today, wash the filthy truck -- - fun stuff.

Have a gud'ern.

Well, fun weekend.......
Did a lot of plowing.... broke the cutting edge off the plow. Got it remounted after thawing out the ice and gravel between the moldboard and frame. Got a couple of the new windows put into the porch. Table saw broke last time around, had to be creative once or twice. Looking good, but slow going til I can get another saw. Grabbed a rifle and went into the woods snowshoeing, to see if any critters were about. Broke a snowshoe and had to carry them back out. Got about half the firewood cut I'd have liked. Frozen wood dulls a chain pretty quickly. Dulled a couple right out quickly. Then broke the plow again. Sheared the hinges right off this time. Gotta pick up some steel to rebuild them. Looks like they siezed in there and twisted off. Did get Kaley out for a couple hikes and some ballgames. Still had a better time than sitting here at work.

Hey, this is more like it. I could actually walk outside in my shirtsleeves this morning. It finally remembered this is Florida.

Lazy day today - - did all my work yesterday - - just get to fool around with my new camera and download my movies (finally) from our trip last summer. My other camera quit on the last day of the trip - - took this long to get to get the stupid warranty company to decide the camera was not repairable. Really dumb and exasperating. Oh well, onward and upward. Have a great day.
