Contact Chrysler

Does anyone have a phone number for Chrysler Canada? A number to someone that will make something happen. Dealer can not fix my problem and this has gone on for a year now and I have had enough!

I don't, but have you tried Googling it? Just a thought.

What is your problem, just curious I have seen just about all of them. My guess would be O2 sensor codes setting.

Limited slip gears were grinding and diff oil was full of metal. They installed new gear set, pinion seal, rear u joint on rear shaft, center support. After they did that work it had a low speed vibration and could not get them do anything. Six months later the pinion seal starts to leak and center support on drive shaft was sloppy. They replaced pinion seal and center support. Vibration still there, said screw it took drive shaft off and took to driveline shop and they staightened and balanced it. Vibration still there, went to dealer and finally they said there is a vibration. They checked in the diff and oil was full of metal again. They installed new gear set, bearings, pinion, new drive shaft ( lost my professional balanced drive shaft with greasable joints). Vibration was gone for a few days and came back slowly. I pulled plug on the diff and they was about 1/4" of metal sludge on the magnet and what I thought some fairly big particals. Took it back in they said the metal level is at normal levels and it is the tires causing the vibration. They would not look at truck until tires were done. Took the truck got new tires on and vibration still there. They kept the truck for two more days then called and said the vibration is normal just engine drone noise and nothing can be done and they will not do anything else to the truck.
So 0 to 52,000 kms truck was great, no vibrations. Rear end goes and dealer does work on it and it comes out with a vibration at 52,000 kms and now I am a year later with 73000 kms still vibrates. Vibration does not change with engine rpm. I just want my truck fixed right, I do not think I am asking to much. Just need a real mechanic not a parts changer.

They most likely did not properly flush out the diff housing to remove metal particles the first time they rebuilt your diff. These particles get into the axle tubes and the wheel hubs and cause damage to these bearings and seals. Most flat rate mechanics will just pull the axle shafts out when they rebuild a diff. Did they even check for play in hub bearings?

Now that you say that the first rebuild they just pulled the axles left wheels on because I remember cleaning gear oil off of the rims when I got the truck back. You might be onto something there because one time I jacked the truck up and had the wife hold a steady low speed but nothing really vibrated.

Thanks.
I just did the copy URL and pasted it.

I had to show up in person at that building after my first 24 valve RAM had so many failed injector pumps.

They put me in touch in person with the regional warranty managers.

I have the name of one of the individuals that works there, the others are retired. If this is needed, PM me.

This may not help since RAM is a separate entity but it may.

I've rebuilt hundreds of these diffs over the 30 years with Chrysler and cleaning all the metal particles out of the housing takes some time. Todays mechanics do not want to spend the time to do the job correctly. I know I see it everyday at my job. They are always looking for the short cuts to beat warranty time. Sometimes they get away with it other times it comes back to bite them on the butt. Just like it did with the first rebuild they did on your diff. I hope you get your problem resolved, good luck.
