Don't worry about what they say, just do what makes you feel good.

I don't know about over, but we sure had some flooded streets. It was still coming down hard when I got out of the meeting. Had to drive in left lane cuz of the flooding on the side of the road. We needed it - - fire level was very high and had some good scares in the past week around the ranch.

Time for the sack - - out early again tomorrow morning. Sleep tight.

our rain day was yesterday, nice 70s New york weather today...

deep fried- geesh the olympics sells two hot dogs wrapped in Bacon(!) then cheese, stuffed in a green pepper and some battered stuff then deep fried.

that actually was interesting to me, then my hubby had to ruin it by saying at the Texas state fair, they had deep fried butter......

deep fried stuff is the reason the South gets the work done by 5PM...

my Waste oil run 1985 mercedes smelled like corn dogs/french fries, the dogs would chase it down in the village....'free' has limits.

sold more stuff today, picked up new bike- Allied Van lines did an excellent job transporting it from CA. Being too short to ride it, had son test drive it. he learned you can be afraid of speed. respect is a good thing to have when motorcycling.....pics to follow. 113 cu inches.

TRADDY! man,I miss ya!! be safe. Fiver BoBo, pick one job a day!!
Bark, be wild.
Cougar, be healthy
Tall, we had home made sweet sausage today that would have made your
knees buckle. love it when you age the meat/seasonings.

ok, late night can begin!

Morning all you slackers. Beautiful weather here today, going to ride the scooter to work. Yesterday started tearing down our 1995 DT 408 for an inframe, 600k+ on it. Should have it gutted today then throw the works kit at Friday when it comes in.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Howdy y'all. Sorry no report yesterday... I met Cincydiesel Sunday night and I STILL can't remember where Monday went.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7th:

1789 - The U.S. War Department was established by the U.S. Congress.

1782 - George Washington created the Order of the Purple Heart.

1888 - Theophilus Van Kannel received a patent for the revolving door.

1914 - Germany invaded France.

1928 - The U.S. Treasure Department issued a new bill that was one third smaller than the previous U.S. bills.

1942 - U.S. forces landed at Guadalcanal, marking the start of the first major allied offensive in the Pacific during World War II.

1947 - The balsa wood raft Kon-Tiki, which had carried a six-man crew 4,300 miles across the Pacific Ocean, crashed into a reef in a Polynesian archipelago.

1960 - The Cuban Catholic Church condemned the rise of communism in Cuba. Fidel Castro then banned all religious TV and radio broadcasts.

1964 - The U.S. Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, which gave President Johnson broad powers in dealing with reported North Vietnamese attacks on U.S. forces.

1976 - Scientists in Pasadena, CA, announced that the Viking 1 spacecraft had found strong indications of possible life on Mars.

1983 - AT&T employees went on strike.

1990 - U.S. President George H.W. Bush ordered U.S. troops and warplanes to Saudi Arabia to guard against a possible invasion by Iraq.

2003 - In California, Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that he would run for the office of governor.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I have figured out why women have smaller feet than men; It's one of those evolutionary things that allows them to stand closer to the kitchen sink.

Coffee is ready.

No, not yet. But I can't really feel everything yet either. I think he snuck something into my chocolate milk at the Waffle House!

Yeah. Right. That's why everyone kept looking at YOU and whispering.

It better not be a Stihl. It came from a Husky shop!

I must say tho, that you have a real nice shop. And that transportable sheep pen you keep in the back is something I never woulda thought of!

Thanks for everything Eric. (Figured I'd say that now because if/when I remember everything, I may not WANT to thank you!)

JWBM - what is sweet sausage? The DW and I tried another recipe for pork breakfast this weekend. We still don't have it quite right. I have no idea why I can't find a recipe for the basic pork links breakfast sausage that I assume everyone grew up eating all across North America. I sometimes wish my name was Jimmie Dean. We made 15 lbs of pepperoni sticks last Tuesday (the skinny ones that are good with beer). We made them gluten free (niece has celiac disease) and without nitrite cure (DW is allergic to nitrites). I got one pkg of them before they were all given away to family and neighbors.

Scotty Canuck - I still owe you a batch of chicken sausages. It would be a lot easier if you were going to be making a trip through southern Alberta.

Be safe out there today kids. I have to head into the city to get the parts so I can finally start putting the lawn tractors back together. Why did they both have to break on the same day? Luckily it has been so hot and dry that the lawn isn't growing quickly.

Everyone was wondering why the good looking guy was sitting with those 2 weirdo's

Could be... I forgot how Husky decided to copy the STIHL colors to confuse buyers into thinking they were buying a STIHL.

Morning guys. Wow, not raining this morning and I see a lot of blue sky.
Hey Bark, don't shoot me. I'm just another innocent victim of Anchorage and Mat-Su society. Besides, I shoot back.
Bought a new toy for kitty, a tiny little remote control car. We took turns chasing each other around the house last night. Boy was the wife POed.

HUH????? How do you do that? I would be falling backward more and more. Just need to stop wasting all this time in the doctor's offices and therapy - - but must admit, I am starting to see some changes to the positive - - - at last.

Nuther long day but got lots done. Gal in therapy was brutal - - think she just likes seeing a grown man cry. Wow, don't know how she finds all those spots - --and when feels me wince, wow can she bore in. OUCH.

Saw a bit of olympics today - - some great stuff. Wish I had time to see more. Recording it all so I can zoom thru the stuff I don't want to watch.

Later,

Bob

That should finally clear up who keeps whom up all night.

And probably complained about it the whole time.

Sounds like a waste of good drugs. If you drove all the way there to see him he should have expected something.

Evening all.

Heidi, it's good to be noticed. I'm so small and get overlooked so much I'm starting to get a complex from it.

We've always been told that dinner is after the work is done...

My grandma used to make a noodle soup stuff. Just elbow noodles and a tomato sause... with a cup of lard (had to be lard, nothing else worked), a bottle of tabasco and a couple table spoons of cayenne pepper. couple scoops of that over fried potatoes and you were ready for bed.

You're supposed to skin the critter BEFORE you deep fry it...
