Colorado Salvage Title
Anyone know if you can insure a vehicle that has a salvage title in Colorado? How about registration/inspections and all that?

no problems insuring it... ins. co doesn't need to know...
I had a "rebuilt-from-salvage" title '88 Dodge Daytona... no issues..
as far as inspections- as long as it has "rebuilt-from-salvage" marked on the title, it's good to go.
if it had a "junked" title (I don't think this is the exact term), then you'd need an inspection to get a "rebuilt-from-salvage" title...
there's a form you have to fill out and provide to any prospective buyers disclosing that it's "rebuilt from salvage"

Thanks for the help.
Talking to the guy over e-mail, when I asked what type of title it has, he replied "salvage". What do you assume that means. The car has damage right now to the driver rear door.

if it's roadworthy, I'd assume he means "rebuilt from salvage" title..
Salvage is just a generic term... but I would make sure the title states "rebuilt from salvage" unless you're prepared to jump thru hoops to get it registered..

This is from the Kelly Blue book website, noticed it the other day while researching a price on a car for a co-worker. Made me think quite a bit...
"Poor" condition means that the vehicle has severe mechanical and/or cosmetic defects and is in poor running condition. The vehicle may have problems that cannot be readily fixed such as a damaged frame or a rusted-through body. A vehicle with a branded title (salvage, flood, etc.) or unsubstantiated mileage is considered "poor." A vehicle in poor condition may require an independent appraisal to determine its value. Kelley Blue Book does not attempt to report a value on a "poor" vehicle because the value of cars in this category varies greatly
