Clodbuster RC Truck
Anybody fool around with these things?
I've got a kit to build a mostly aluminum one and can't figure it out? The instructions suck!
Oh, and btw, its my cousins kit and he had somebody else start on it so that makes it even harder.

I have a clod (somewhere in the attic) with the aluminum ESP ladder frame and 4 link suspension. What kit do you have, there are a ton of aftermarket parts and kits for these trucks now.
Want to see some really cool aftermarket pieces and scale rigs check out this site

It is a ESP Clodzilla III full race kit. If you could get me some pics that would be sweet. It is a pretty old kit and the instructions paper is pretty dark so I can't see the pics on it very well.

Ah, sounds like you have the setup with the cantilever shocks and sway bars. Mine was just a basic ladder frame and the 4 links, I built my own shock towers, and just used the yellow Tamiya oil filled shocks. I'll see if I can dig it out and post some pictures for ya.
I do know that to mount the suspension links you will need to drill some holes in the lower part of the steering knuckles on the end of the plastic axle tubes. If memory serves correctly, there are already some stock holes on the upper part.

Used to have a t-maxx, but got fed up with constantly trying to keep the thing tuned.
Been considering an electric rc truck with some brushless motors. I buy everything RTR, no time to build stuff anymore...

i have a traxxas stampede, heavily modified. pops wheelies on command it is quite fun. Too bad it is sitting in a box right now.
I also have a nikko thor (vintage nikko) dual motor 4WD. took all the old guts out and put updated speed controller and receiver and motors. thing is fun to drive not fast but has power.
I would like to get into R/C cars again someday, maybe when i get the truck paid off
