Cleaning Diesel and Oil off paint

Got my truck back today after an injection failure and the dealer didn't even wash the truck.

My tailgate is covered in Fuel and Oil and has been since Tuesday.

I'll have to at least hose her down tonight since I work tomorrow, any tips for cleaning the paint?

I just completely stripped her and did a full detail a few weeks ago so at least she has multiple layers of fresh wax.

I use simple green or Castrol super clean.
My tailgate gets used as a work bench regularly. chain saw oil and gas, greasy parts, what ever, Just pour a little on and wash it off...

before you clean it, take pictures, send them to chrysler, thanking them for the wonderfull service you got at their 5 start dealership...... ask them if they know a place where you can wash the truck into a wash water recovery system so as not to cause a petrochemical spill that would require by law and hazmat team to clean up. naming the dealership the service was provide at, and the service manager's name.

I would take the same action. I've taken my both my trucks to two 5 star dealers and no matter what I got done the truck was washed. Blew a tranny line on my 95 I had, back end of the truck was covered in trans fluid and dirt, they washed it and made the truck look nice. Mom takes her car in for an Oil change to the local 5 star chrysler and they wash it after the oil change.

I agree with FO, use simple green. It will remove oil and fuel from the finish. You'll probably have to wax it afterwards, the simple green will most likely remove the wax too.

I use "Incredible Pink" it is made in Maine and you mike not find it on the west coast. It works great, I use it on everything including laundry.

try a wd-40 soaked rag over the tar spots. It will take some time, but has worked for me.
