Christmas Flies

Ok, let's try this...
Trying to post some pics of my latest addiction, Atlantic Salmon Flies. A couple christmas patterns I made up here. Number two needs a couple touch ups then will get put in glass too. Aren't we overdue for a tying thread? How's that for a pun Chaikwa?
Enjoy!

Bumble (after the character in the rudolph cartoon)

They're bigger in my gallery.

Now that's really neat!

If you wanna sell a couple, I'll be your first customer.

I have a sister and BIL that are fly fishing nuts....way down here. I like to try, but I need a LOT of practice.

DANG! You're getting REAL good at that Don!

Seems like you just started tying not that long ago, but I guess time flies when you're having fun! If you're fishing for compliments, you got mine! You could probably make a living at it now if you weren't tied up at work so much. Maybe you could try selling a few on the web, just to test the waters. If it worked out, you could reel in quite a few sales! But you know how things like that go; nothing's cast in stone.

Ok, I'm done!

I got the "Green Highlander" in the mail today! Boy, is it a piece of art!

As soon as I get a nice box or frame to put in, I'll post a pic.

Thanks Don, you definatly have an artistic eye and a steady hand.

Chaikwa,

You missed your calling or you definitely do not have enough to do. I am afraid some of the puns might fly past the heads of your readers.

Well, I DON'T have enough to do! But I don't think my puns fly past many of the people here... they try to ignore them in the hopes I'll go away!

I have enough trouble buttoning my fly, much less trying to tie them.

Didn't anyone tell you when you made Senior NCO that you were now qualified to wear BDU's with elastic waistban and velcro fly? Each pair comes with a discount coupon for Dunkin Donuts

Well, it took me six months, but I finally got The "Green Highlander" into a frame. Trust me, I looked and looked, but couldn't find one that done it justice. So, today, my little 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and I went to Hobby Lobby and made up our own "Trout Fly Frame Kit". It turned out pretty niffty if I do say so myself. Pardon the picture quality, but it was the best of about ten.

Thanks again Redleg, you can be sure it has a good home.
