Checkbook Gnomes

An old Marine from Iwo Jima once told me about the gnomes that watched over his checkbook and broke stuff to help him out with spending his money.

Well, after he passed on last year I realized I inherited them!

This week I put 2 new batteries in the Dodge, a radiator and brakes in the Tahoe and am patiently waiting what's next as I still have a hunskie tucked into my wallet for emergencies.

Anyone else have this kind of infestation??

Yes I have them also, one is 27 and the other is 29, one boy and one girl, the son borrowed my jigsaw, gee dad it just quit, the daughter took my steelhead fishing rod out for coho, and snagged a 20 lb chum, snapped it clean in two, so now I got a new jigsaw and a new rod, hell that only cost me $250 bucks, and for gnome`s they still show up and head for the fridge hahahaha good luck with yours.

My gnome decided it was time for a upgrade this evening at work when the Snap-On guy came by. He went ahead and bought a new Classic 78 tool box in Deep Purple.

Not to mention denting the pocket book pretty good last month forking out the mula for a trans. Sneaky little rat he is.

My gnome has had a problem all summer. I don't think I have saved any money this summer, seems like one thing after another.

My gnome seems to have taken up residence at Casa del Shovelhead....

i think (hope) I have finally found and remedied the source of the foul odor.

Now to finish the interior of the Man Cave.
Working on that while I have some unplanned time off.........

Ya'll B safe.

The gnome we have here had been in the habit of frying electronics this summer.
First was the washer. 4 days pass and the dryer fries. Stove has a failed oven element, two elements on top, dead clock and its leaving on Monday, with the Gnome locked in of self clean.

Ed, this gnome has a striking similarity to that cool blue air filter from awhile back. Can you post that pic to see if I can verify any kind of relationship please?

Well, lets see:

Fuel system is mucked up on the truck, been tryin to get parts for two weeks for that, gotta drop the fuel tank now. They sent me the parts I didn't need and didn't send me the parts I did need.

Rear tire went flat on the Road King on the way home from work, ordered one set of tires through Harley and asked another guy who also ordered set of tires, no I have two sets.

Been trying to get a luggage rack from Sheltons for six weeks now for the same bike.

The Subaru is in the shed with the LF fender bashed in.

Had to put four new tires on the Muastang at a cost of $1671.00.

Ordered a rear window louver for the Stang, they forgot to send the double sided tape with the order.

Got five vehicles on the road and three of them are out of service.

Need I go ON?????

I learned a long time ago, The more you talk about the Gnomes, the more they like to come see you. So, I be Bery Bery Quite when stuff breaks.

I take it they don't like having their picture posted on a world wide forum either
