Mornin' Top. Knew that it'd get you up. You can deny all you want. You know as well as I that nothing has a bigger life than a well placed rumor. Why, I prided myself on being Rumor Central. As NCOIC, Mobility, I use to plant a small one about something insignificant, like, we're deploying before the weekend, and by the end of the day, we're flying out on C5s to Rota, Spain as an advance unit (I was with a mobile radar unit, usually operating within 2 miles of the FEBA). I always briefed the Colonel before hand, just to keep a certain portion of the anatomy from gettin' chewed on. Ah, those were the days. ;D ;D ;D

~Dave

Almost looks like a Spy vs. Spy cartoon. I think the only protection those suits will give from that thing is keeping the sweat from dripping on it and detonating it.

No metal!!!! That is a serious No-No when dealing with mines, believe it or don't, that suit has no metal in it whatsoever. All you wear is undershirt and drawers with it. The Italians sold Iraq a ton of mines that are Hi-tech. These things arm and disarm by remote, can sense metal and can count footsteps. Them sorry **** Italians make some very deadly mines. >

Re:Chainsaws
Went to an engineering display in Germany once. Germans had a mine that would track 3 armor vehicles and fired an armor piercing rocket kind of like a sabot. Each round was capable of penetrating 3 light armor vehicles if they were riding abreast of each other. And that was ten years ago!

We use to get new guys to go up and down the sides of armor vehicles with a hammer checking for soft spots

Hey, I've got an idea. How 'bout a Cummins Turbo Diesel Forum. I think that would create a lot of interest. I mean a lot of guys drive 'em and....well....uh....oh....oops, forgot where I was for a minute there. This is a CTD forum!!! :-[ :

I got two stihls a 036 pro and a 044 magnum, love both of them.
[/quote]
I've never had a Stihl, I loved my old Mccollogh, lots of power for a small saw. I just bought a Poluan, piece of sh... junk

There just ain't nuthin like being in that lovely suit in the heat of the day, playing with a big firecracker.
