Re:Chainsaws

Johnsered is number 1 my da's had a 621 (lasted forever), 630, 535, and now he's got a small turbo one (can't remember the model) ........

all great saws ........only reason he quit using the 621 is you can't get parts for it anymore and t needs a set of crank seals (kinda sad to shut down a good saw over 5 dollars seals)

he cuts 20+cords of wood per winter for heating the old homestead ......

he also likes husky's now too (they're built by the same company as Johnsered)

he's got 51cc and 70 cc husky's too ......

he uses the turbo for falling in the bush (it's light)
then he breaks out th big husky for bucking in the yard, the little husky's a backup saw

trust me once you buy a real chainsaw (husky, jonsered, stihl, ect.....)

you'll never go back.......

Re:Chainsaws

Captain, when I started shopping, any decent used saw was within $100 of a new one. If you hafta get used, see if you can get a demo model under warranty.

Comatoze, I have a smaller version of that tree I'd like to make into a table base. Any brookies in that pond?

In the spring, the snappers come up and dig up my mulched flower bed laying eggs. Then, in late August, the they hatch and make a break for the pond. They all come out at once. Pretty amazing.

Re:Chainsaws

We use Stihl with the fire dept. We use three kinds. Do not recall the model numbers on them but these things will go though anything in no time flat.. One or two pulls and we can have a hole cut in a roof in no time flat. ;D
