Cats are TOUGH
Cats are TOUGH
Yes I am talking about a kitty cat,my daughter who is 15 has a male cat,he has been fixed but this does not slow him down,I have seen this cat come in the house beaten up pretty bad, whether from a dog attack of another cat, raccoon whatever, but last night we were sitting outside and we watched this cat get hit by a car,my daughter was devistated,my wife went and put him in a towel, his face was all cut up and could not walk on his front paws, you will not believe it,this morning all banged up,he managed to make it to the kitchen and ate with his mouth all cut up and even managed to go outside to do his business,he is real sore but seems to be ok.I just cannot believe what I saw him go through and live to walk again.
I just had to pass this along,my daughter is so happy

NOTE:
Cats and skunks tend to lose out when cycled through the fan belts/cooling fan/radiator shroud of a HMMWV. Come to think of it, the hummer doesn't do well either. ~$2000 damage and a lot of steam cleaning.

Had my daughter in the 78 Bronco, turned the key, grind ... fur came out everywhere.
Oh no, have to open the hood. We did, no cat. Looked around, it was trying to jump the fence.
Sent her in the house to get a towel. I grabbed the cat. Was cut up, one side & across the spine!!! Hauled down to the vet. They kept her overnight.
The fan blade only nicked a few tips off the spinal column. Sewed her up in 3 spots & we picked her up the next day. No long term issues.
Whew!!!

I like kitty cats too! I was a U.S. Army Sgt. in 1970 & 71, and nobody better hurt kitty cats around me, I get involved. A year or so ago a friend found a male stray kitty which had been beaten up by somebody--kicked we think. We named him Buddy, and took him to the vet. He had a broken hip, broken jaw, broken tail and detached retina so he is blind in one eye. I was keeping him in a second floor room, so he could heal and one day he decided he wanted to go out! Yup... jumped out the window. Man that cat is tough! He made the jump OK, and we let him come and go as he wants. I respect that kind of toughness!
Believe it or not, true story.............
We had a cat go up a 30' hydro pole and stay there for 2 or three days!!!
Until he finaly mamaged to get blasted off that pole in a giant blue/orange flame and giant spark!!!!
Hits the ground with a thud, still smoking (that lovely smell of burnt flesh and hair)
go get a shovel to bury, and grandad gives him a heart massage....... Cat comes back around!! Lives for years after that!!
Seriously, not B.S!
He was from a long line of cats around here that had six toes on every foot.
(must be something in the water around here, or maybe we're living over a uranium deposit
)
Burnt a couple toes off but he was fine.

Dogs. I love my dogs, but I dont like strays. If I see a stray running across my pasture then he is living on borrowed time. Cant say I respect dogs that run in packs, and like to kill my baby calves. Cant say I respect their owners either.

You should be nicer to her...
