Talking carrizo springs christmas, not yer traditional events :D

im sure everyones idea of christmas is a bit different, heres one for you though. Carrizo Springs is about 80 miles from laredo, so no snow around here. My family is a lil different when it comes to christmas n such, no turkey in the oven for us or cranberry sauce, we got one smoked though, we also have way to much, beans and rice, bar b q, menudo(beef tripe hominy all simmered in a spicey soup), tamales, tortillas instead of pumpkin pie n all that jazz we got empanadas de camote (sweet potato pie mexican style ), pan dulce (mexican sweet bread), pitching horse shoes, dominos, and poker are all standard if ya want to hang out here, there are some real choice beers here, COORS LIGHT, BUDLIGHT, and MILLER LIGHT. You wont hear christmas music , but there is plenty of country music and mexican music, sounds odd to some but its the norm around here. just wanted to share our family traditon with the rest of yall

Wish I could pitch shoes this time of year. Wouldn't last too long in the rain at 43* and dropping.

Sounds like a good time fella, there had better be some TUMS handy.

Sounds like our Christmas, but with a Cajun flair.

I'm down here in Laredo, and am freaking out in the weather. Last year it snowed for christmas (first time in 21 years) then this year it was 76 today.
