Christmas question

Am I the only pathetic, no life person that is siting at the computer on Christmas day…. Other than Shovelhead, because I’ve never been here when he was not.

By the way Mary Christmas to all .

The grandkids (5 of the little beggars )came yesterday and went home so Santa could find them. We will drive up to my son’s home this afternoon but for now it’s just me and the wife.

Glad to know that I am not the only pathetic one here.

I'm sitting here too with the dog curled up at my feet waiting for the wife to get up. Going to do our traditional Eggs Benedict with Monte Cristo coffees, open gifts and kick back for a while until it's time to get the turkey and ribs going. Merry Christmas to all.

I stay logged on much of the time.
That doesn't mean I'm always looking at the monitor.
I mean, I GOTTA eat & sleep sometimes.

Sittin right here. The kids are at there other families (divorce) and we did Christmas a week early. We'll be headed of to Church at 11 and then bowling around 5. And of course Waffle House for dinner. Next year we have the kids and I would be beat to be sitting here.

Have a Merry Christmas

I’ve pulled my share of holiday shifts. I’ve got the duty this weekend (just like every weekend) so I could be called out anytime. The only good thing about having the duty is I’m also the superintendent so if something breaks down and can wait until after the holiday I have the option.

Just remember someone is always working at the water plants and the sewer plants, if we don’t do our job right somebody is going to die or at least get very sick. The way I look at it a doctor works on one patient at a time if you work in water / wastewater treatment you work on the whole population that you serve every day.
Fire and police get the glory while we do more to protect the public in one hour than they do all week.
Ok flame on.

All the gifts have been opened, and it is time to relax. The little girl has a stomach bug, so she is not real energetic. Gonna be a lazy day for us. Merry Christmas all, and enjoy the day and the reason for the day.
