Car shipping. What to charge???

i am looking for some input on what to charge to deliver my car (dodge srt-4) that i am selling. The buyer would rather have it delivered than flying in and driving it home. Round trip it is about 600 miles about 10 hours of driving. I would have to rent a trailer so that would be around 70 bucks.

thanks for any input you can provide.

I delivered a car from Chicago IL to Grosse Pointe MI (Detroit), the trip was 4 1/2 hrs each way. I charged the guy $500 to haul the car to his cutsomer and this was with my trailer. This was a back in 2005 so fuel prices were a little lower then.

I hauled hay this summer and I was getting $3 a loaded mile. I would charge him $2 to $2.50 a loaded mile for the car. I hopefully a hot shotter will chime in and give some input into this since I'm just making a guess.

You're going to spend about $175 on fuel, plus the trailer, plus any tolls - if your time is free and that's what it takes to get it sold, do it for cost plus enough to buy you a nice dinner.
