Hi all, I'm wondering if I'm getting a good deal on the '07 I'm currently dealing on??

So I'm curious how much less than the sticker price you paid (percentage wise) and or if the dealer showed you the "invoice" and how much you paid above that.

My dealer wants me to pay about $1,600 above invoice which is about 8% below sticker price.

Good deal or no??

I'm trying to strike up the best deal on the truck I want, the bad part is the finance rate on the '07's is ugly!!

When I ordered my '04 I had a "deal" where I could buy the truck at 1% above "invoice"

As it turned out the dealer screwed the process up and sold me the truck for 1% under invoice.

It is tough to get them to move any more than that on a truck you are ordering, if they had it sitting on the lot and wanted to move it, they may be more willing to dicker.

Yeah that was on an '04, I'm sure there programs change from month to month or quarter to quarter which affects pricing. I work in the heavy equipment business and often our rtail prices could be below the "invoice cost" depending on factors such as programs by the manufacturer or fluctuations in the exchange rate. Many machines sell for $100,000 less than retail.

The deal they offered me looks like it is invoice + 3.5% So I'm wondering if that's close to the number others are seeing???

Just in conversation with others seems as if most have bought their trucks at about 8-9% below sticker.
