A/C quandry in my 1500 Ram

A/C seems to blow warm on driver side of truck and cold on passenger side.
The truck has single A/C controls not dual.

Any ideas as to problem? I hear a loud thunk in the damper section when I start truck up, whether A/C is on or off.

Thanks in advance!

Gary

I think there are little doors in the air ducts that move to direct hot or cool air. One is prolly stuck or the vacuum or what ever moves the door is not working.

Lots of good info if you search under HVAC, heater treater, blend doors etc.
This is a link to one of the ongoing threads on the issue. I wish you luck.

Bark,
Thanks for the lead to ratlratl's input. What a writeup!!!! Ratlratl, MANY KUDO's to you. I am getting 87 degree air out of the driver side and 67 out of the passenger side. I am gonna remove the fan and take out the door. That KLUNK sound I hear is probably the door falling as the damper motor engages.

Again, Thanks to all of the DTR hands that input to this site. This place ROCKS, even though my Cummins has been gone for 3 yrs now ( I still miss the straightpiped sound and turbo spooling sound).
