C 130 Gunship Action

Turn your speaker on and up and click below. And WHAT A PICTURE - AT OVER TWO MILES AWAY!! Here is what technology can do in a war zone. The pictures were taken from an AC130 Specter gunship two and a half miles away. The guys in the picture are setting up a roadside bomb and planning to ambush an American convoy which followed a short while after the pictures were taken. They were setting up for the ambush and were pacing off the distance from the bomb to where the convoy was to pass by. Turn your sound up. Awesome.

I have seen that video before, but it was described as being a AH64 Apache.

Kinda hard to keep the same basic camera angle that long without the plane falling out of the sky. Maybe it was on a really fast conveyer belt?

Rotary wing gun ship. Can tell by the sight picture. Got a second gen FLIR sight.
AH-64 taken about a year ago.
Spooky uses 20mm Vulcan, 40mm Bofors, and 105mm M-102 AF modified. Spooky is an area fire weapon. AH-64 is a point weapon.
AH-64 chain gun is a chaka, chaka, chaka.
Vulcan is a gurrrrrrrrr.

Got some questions for you guys who know about these things.

How far away do you think they were? It seems obvious that the perps had no clue anyone was watching.

What caliber and fire rate? Looks like there wouldn't be much left of bodies.

Almost everything you ever wanted to know about the Apache.
30 mm "Gattling Gun" Rate of fire......1200 rounds per minute.
THAT's gonna leave a mark.

I always compared it to a ships fog horn. Defining, but so fast you can't pick out the individual shot burst. The H.E.'s going off sound like rice crispy's.

Didn't they come to the conclusion that this was just farmers planting a crop?
