I don't know how many of you have seen or heard of a Bugattti Veyron Supercar but I recently had a chance to look at one. This car is pretty darn amazing and here are some pictures and statistics on the car:

STATISTICS ON THE BUGATTI VEYRON 16.4
1.) COST: $1,657,700.00!!!
2.) ENGINE: Quad (4) Turbocharged W-16 Twin-Intercooled. aluminum block and heads.
3.) HORESPOWER: 1,001@6,000 RPM
4.) TORQUE: 922lb.ft@2200 RPM
5.) TOP SPEED: 253 MPH!!

SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE CAR:
-At it's top speed of 253 MPH it is traveling at 371 feet per second and will empty its 26.4 gallon fuel tank in 19 MINUTES!
-Service is very expensive on the car. It takes TWO (2) TECHNICIANS to remove the rear bodywork JUST TO GET TO THE ENGINE.
-Four of the car's Michelin PAX Pilots will set you back $25,000.00!!
-The hydraulic rams that raise the rear wing AT 137 MPH are identical to those that raise flaps on jet aircraft!
-During the Veyron's prototype testing a bird crashed through the grille while humming along at 205 MPH,.....so now the grille is TITANIUM!
-A new transmission costs $123,000.00!
-The Bugatti Veyron Owners Manual is a hardcover book with 366 pages and

I'm not trying to bust on you or anything... if it will do 0-150 in 8.3 seconds... shouldn't the 1/4 mile time be faster? The 1/4 trap speed was only 142 in 10 seconds...
Just wondering, maybe I'm missing something.

I got the info off Bugatti's Spec Sheet on the car.
The Bugatti is definitely fast, but expensive!
I´d never buy a Bugatti though, because it´s way too expensive to maintain.
I´d get a Koenigsegg, just listen to that sound:
The owner of that one is just around my neck of the woods, great car!

Mad, you´d definitely loose. That Koenigsegg has around 1000+ HP with E85 and And it weighs around 3000 pounds.
But because we don´t have E85 around here it only make 800-900 hp. But still a great engine, 4.8 l V8 (derived from a Ford racing engine), twin supercharged, so it´s good to go

I saw a show on the science channel on how they build it. Like every part on that car is specifically designed. It is truly an amazing vehicle. The tires are specially made for that car. The brakes are made out of some crazy material. I love the wing though. It pops up at a certain speed, then automatically levels out, and when you hit the brakes, it flips up like a parachute. Just insane, wish I was loaded

I thought the car was pretty cool when I saw it too. That wing pops up when the speed of the car hits 137 MPH!--------

The brakes are made from carbon composite, nothing special anymore, the ZR-1 has the same brakes as the Ferrari Enzo. And the Veyron has brakes that are about an inch larger in diameter. The Veyron is heavy!
That Koenigsegg is RWD only, but a lot lighter (and with better HP/LB).
There are some nice videos out there of a Koenigsegg CCR vs a Switzer P800 Nissan GTR. A Veyron would´ve spanked them both easily.
Now that CCXR, from 100-200 mph, it would spank any Veyron!
Edit: the CCR has about 800 hp, that CCXR with E85 produces over 1000 hp! From an 4.8 l V8, twin supercharged!
