Man John, I knew about this car around 2 years ago when it popped up on Top Gear....

Also, some more facts....

The old 1003hp version topped out at 253mph.

At that speed the tires last 15 minutes, the gas tank 13....

What an expense!!!

There is a really great Veyron video out there, with James May, one of the Top Gear blokes.

Taking a car to its top speed....I like that one!

No offense Kris

But the design of those Euro sports cars does nothing for me.

I can respect the engineering but Ill take old school Detroit anyday of the week.

69 SuperBee with a 440 SixPac

Now that is classy

Sure it wont outrun a Veyron, but I can buy a few of his cousins for the same price.

I am hoping for a little better ride.

I like the new stuff they are putting out too. The new Challengers are just gorgeous. Always been a Viper fan and even like the new Vettes.

Not to big a fan of the new Stingray coming out but its growing on me. Did like the Camaro from Transformers first time I seen it.

My all time favorite is the Shelby AC Cobra. Kinda debatable cause its originally a Euro sports coupe, but they are just so.....

Yeah Jon, I knew it had been around awhile now, but I just recently actually had a chance to see one. It would be an expensive car to own that's FOR SURE!

I had posted the thread as I thought some of the Members would be interested in the stats like I was. Guess I was wrong about that............

John,

No mistaking, the stats are mind blowing...

Just commenting on how much old iron you could purchase, restore and put down some serious numbers with for 1.6 mil.

Had a customer in California with an original A/C Cobra with the side oiler 427. I was so fascinated with it that he took me for a ride twice and then let me drive it.
I can honestly say there cannot be anything like that in the entire automotive world. It was a total rush and the feel of the engine was like nothing I have ever experienced since.

I agree with the above statement that nothing compares to American Muscle, even if it'll do 253mph!

I was just talking about the Bugatti and trying to remember the other cars' name and here I found this thread. Thanks for the info. Those are some fast cars.

GO MARK GO
If you can get your truck up to the top speed of those cars, all the sand should be gone.

No doubt! I bowed up to a Ferrari one time, I knew I'd get spanked (he never shifted out of first), but I beat him off the line, he passed me when I shifted into second!

Man, if I get my truck up to those speeds, you'll never see me again, because I have a rocket in the bed! I'll be in orbit, but I'll win!

you gotta race on your terms.

both of you hook up 15,000 pounds
find a nice muddy field or rough dirt road.
Better yet, race for 400 miles...

World Speeding Ticket Record

I read somewhere that the Konigsegg holds the world record for a speeding ticket - 242 mph, in west Texas.
