Morning All! 18 degrees this morning and snow in the forecast.

Some of us have posted about loosing one of our pets. I keep a few cats around the barn, not really tame but not wild. Just keeps the mice and rats away stuff. Never really got attached to any, but one who insisted on being my buddy. If I was working in the shop, he was right there purring and happy. I found him this morning with a broken back and cut up. I appears that he was hit during the combining going on next door. Had to put him down. Going to miss my helper...

Sorry to hear about your loss Ed, you have my deepest Condolences...amazing how attached we become to small furry animals even with minimal contact.

Ed, sorry to hear about that. What Lary said. Been there, done that. Not a nice situation to be in.

11° this AM, but heading back into another heat wave for a week.
I'd rather loose a dog than a cat. Somehow they seem to get a lot closer to you for some reason.

Happy Saturday all y'all. Glad to see some MIA folks showing up in the breakroom again, Shorts earlier in the week and now Chaikwa is back. DW and I heading to the city this afternoon for dinner with her family. The drive there will be fine and the visit will be fun but the drive home has me a little concerned. The wind is supposed to pick up late the afternoon and by the time we come home there is supposed to be a 30mph wind out of the north. The last 20 miles home is a single lane country highway and there is nothing to block the wind for miles. The highway is surrounded on both sides by miles and miles of flat prairie farmer's fields that are full of light fluffy snow. That snow is going to be blowing across the highway, reducing visibility and causing icy conditions by the time we are on our way. I sure am glad I put good snow tires on a few weeks ago and I will make sure I clean the headlight lenses before we start.
Have a safe and fun Saturday evening everyone. I will pop by to share a drink and swap lies with the breakroom crowd once we get home.

Well all y'all, this has been a quiet breakroom today. I guess it is time to knock this one on the head with a 2x4. Have a safe night and see you in the new breakroom.
