No problem Eric. I didn't leave a message. I figured since it went straight to your voice mail and it was Saturday you were probably sleeping in or doing family stuff. What's funny is I stopped in Bowling Green for fuel, all was good. The next day I saw where my RR on the trailer was shredded. I must have blown it right after I got off the interstate. That trailer is so heavy I didn't even notice a problem.

Good Morning all!
It's a sweltering -38.6*F today. Not bad considering I haven seen over -40* is 2-3 days now. No real end in sight for this cold snap either.
Been working on Mama's honeydo list. Moving offiices and guest rooms around, rewiring cable and internet hookups, paint and such.... I hate painting.
Need to find a bit of time to work on the truck. It needs a few little things like a door latch (so the door will stay shut) and a mirror. I also need to look at a couple fuel lines a see if I can find a leak. She's got a small hiccup in the mornin' after sitting all night. Time and money is all I need.
Have a good one, I'll be around.

BUT all thoughts and prayers are with you all!
always always get more education ! projects look better when not brought on by procrastination to those of you who need to learn that...
can't help any of you that get their orders from the female boss types.....LOL
lots of paperwork this week, having fun cutting down trees in da woods; leaving the big log load for lazy times. this is our exercise and nice to enjoy the tv stuff after a good day's work.....spa too, speedos not allowed....
putting some color in linseed oil and painting the wood rocker bench I got for Christmas (two wolves howling at the moon, with pine trees all around)
Matt, got my NW2 switcher (Lionel #611 jersey central orange and blue) "o" scale engine. can NOT imagine working on one, I like my fingers just fine!
should ask to watch the refits they do here in Dansville, NY. they took down the gantry, use a moving crane, watch them spin when taking them inside the big factory that use to make the Navy's boilers (Foster Wheeler). that's only one of the four company's using the factory. did I say BIG factory?
alright, got to get to some tasks here....DTR's finest on facebook? go forth and prosper!
Heidi, missing the janitor here, out

Reminds me of an old elementary school joke. Afternoon all. Heading down to the tire store to get a tire, see you in a bit. Marc, get a paint stick. Around here, wife cuts it in and I come along with the paint stick and do the rest. Clean-up usually takes longer than the painting.

So you've been painting with my wife as well!?......
Am I to assume that this is some kind of wonderful item to help clean up paint messes? I thought a paint stick was what they give you to strir the paint with......
Afternooner all!
Took a look at my outside thermometer and decided that it needed a bit of attention. It didn't seem to be reading accurately. I brought it inside and warmed up the batteries a bit and hit the "reset" button to sync it with the inside head unit then placed it back outside. Turns out I was right, it was off a bit. It is now -41.5*F. I love it when I can fix things easily......
On another note my ice cube farm is doing really well.

Evening all, got home this afternoon and crashed for a little bit. Didn't sleep well last night, was tired all day. Worked with a guy originally from Battle Creek MI today, nice guy and he was very knowledgable about RR's. Gonna stay home tonight and do some stuff around the house.
Heidi, an NW2! Thats an old EMD, we had one at my last job. I wanna say its build date was 1949. It was one heck of a puller but it required alot of maintenance. Eventually we removed the trucks from it and put it out on the deadline as it started to nickle and dime the company.

Hot dog for OLD DOG - - ya did good. Great ph00 for once. Good man - - don't care what your wife says about ya.
I think we all need a moment of silence for Scotty - - think he went over the edge. Probably that cold weather up there froze his cerebral cortex and cause it to shut down - - too much back pressure. Probably froze his frontal lobe turbo also. Now he has no boost. Poor baby is in rough shape. He we go - - silence - - - - - ------------------- OK, that's enough.
Nuther gorgeous day down this way. In fact the sun block was running in my eyes from the sweat while working on the fiver. Man I hate that.
OK, gunna run - - don't catch all those fish up there, Don. Stay in where it is warm.
