My cajun wife saw this and wants to scold boiler-rat for misspelling BOUDIN. . I never had it either until about 3 1/2 years ago when I went to her parents house. My first meal there was boudin. It was very tasty. I have it every time we go to Louisiana.

Never tried it on a grill. We always steamed them.

Its very good . Wife's Sister used to live in LA and we would get it when we went to visit. I was always afraid to ask what was in it, just accepted that it was good eating.

Any of y'all truckin' it down I-10 can stop at the Boudin Shop (Cecilia exit-First exit on the west side of the Atchafalaya Swamp Basin bridge in LA). they have good stuff and cheap. You Coonhuh? may know of a better place. I get a cooler full every time a go through there.

I only know of one place and that is in Jennings, LA. Its in between Lake Charles and Lafayette. Theres a place in Jennings called the Boudin King. You can even buy it already frozen. My dad does that evey time he visits the in-laws, he buys 10 lbs of it and brings it home for his freezer.

Been there too. I just end up going to Cecilia exit every time, Boudin Shop has the Crawfish Etoufe' that in my opinion is the best in south LA. Ever tried the crawfish boudin?? Every type is good though..

Try this. Squeeze out all the inerds into a frying pan (pork boudin-a couple of links). Fry it in like a large patty until nice and crisp on both sides. It adds a fried taste to it and is hard to beat.
